A Guide for the implementation of the WELD4.0 methodology to other industrial sectors was developed, in order to transfer results from VET delivery in welding to related sectors. This is due to the fact that the WELD4.0 project focuses on the welding sector only but has strong potential to be used in other sectors as well.
This Guide reflects the approach taken in the WELD4.0 project. It firstly focuses on an introduction and overview on Industry 4.0 and its impact in other industrial sectors, such as Construction, Automotive, Manufacturing, Logistics and Education.
A short analysis of how skills are changing, and the skills needed in the future on these industrial sectors regarding the impact of Industry 4.0.
After this introductory and general chapter, a more in-depth diving in the project and WELD 4.0 approach is presented, the steps gave for the development of the new competence unit "Introduction to Industry 4.0" and the development of the ICT-based training solution are presented. These final chapters were written in a simple and clear language so that it can be understood that both tools are applicable to other industrial sectors, the methodology and know-how gained during this project are of extreme importance to other industrial sectors.
