A formal outcome of an assessment and validation process which is obtained when a competent body determines that an individual has achieved learning outcomes to given standards.
A form of mentoring that takes place in learning environments, usually between an older more experienced student and a new student(s).
An episode of learning in which learners undertake a physical activity, rather than watching a demonstration or listening to a lecture. Examples include building models and role-play. The term also relates to ‘learning style’; some learners prefer and learn better through active learning approaches.
