We already described the first Promoting Adult Skills (PAS) event, dedicated to the development of key competencies for improved employability of the long-term unemployed, here. However, this time we will focus on the event for (and with) the youth – fundamental abilities, which they would require in the labour market and life in general, as well as related topics (housing, volunteering, etc).

Europos švietimo sektoriui pereinant į kompetencijomis grįstą mokymąsi ir mokymosi rezultatų vertinimą, atsiranda didžiulis poreikis ieškoti inovatyvių, efektyvių ir skubančiam žmogui tinkamų neformaliu ir savaiminiu būdu įgytų kompetencijų vertinimo  ir pripažinimo priemonių.  Mokymasis visą gyvenimą, kaip pagrindinis Europos švietimo principas apima suaugusiųjų mokymąsi įvairiose terpėse, formose ir situacijose. 2012 m. Europos komisija parengė Rekomendaciją dėl neformaliojo mokymosi ir savišvietos rezultatų patvirtinimo (Rekomendacija, 2012). Numatoma, kad iki 2018 m.

Erasmus+ VET placements from Galway Technical Institute

Galway Technical Institute first received funding for student mobility under the Leonardo da Vinci programme in 2009. In that year, almost €24K was used to fund six participants. The following year, this number had increased to 47 and a year later had doubled to 100. In 2014, GTI received a two-year Erasmus+ Key Action 1 grant of €534K, which will fund close to 200 student placements. Earlier this year students took part in two-, three- or four-week placements all across Europe.

Martin Larkin studied Festival Management and Sound Production at Sound Training College in Temple Bar, Dublin and graduated in 2013. Towards the end of his training he realised he wanted to further his skills by working in another country, and completed a 22-week Vocational and Educational Training work placement in Berlin, Germany under the EU Leonardo da Vinci Programme. While that programme concluded in 2013, Erasmus+ Key Action 1 offers similar opportunities for VET organisations to send their learners abroad for vocational placements lasting from two weeks to 12 months.

Inchicore College of Further Education in Dublin 8 has been integrating European placements into its Vocational Education and Training courses for more than a decade. Supported by funding from Erasmus+ KA1 and its predecessor programmes, trainees from the college can spend three weeks training in another country.

Van uitwisseling tussen reddingsbootbemanningen tot onderwijs in gevangenissen en educatie voor mensen met een bijzonder brein. Het kwam allemaal aan de orde tijdens de monitoringsbijeenkomst van Erasmus+ KA1 projecten in de volwasseneneducatie op 18 mei j.l. Doel van de ochtend in Utrecht was uitwisseling van (project)ervaringen, opheldering over (financiële en technische) vragen rond Erasmus+ projecten, maar vooral ook het delen van goede voorbeelden. Ook thema’s als validering, impact en disseminatie passeerden de revue.

Ekonominio bendradarbiavimo ir plėtros organizacija (EBPO) nuo 2011 m. atlieka suaugusiųjų įgūdžių tyrimą (angl. Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies, PIAAC), kurio antrajame etape, 2014-2015 m., dalyvavo ir Lietuva. PIAAC yra laikomas išsamiausiu kada nors vykdytu suaugusiųjų gebėjimų tyrimu, padedančiu susidaryti vaizdą apie suaugusiųjų gebėjimus trijose įgūdžių srityse: skaitymo įgūdžių (raštingumo), matematinio raštingumo ir problemų sprendimo technologijų pagalba.

7th REVEAL Conference …Because Learning happens everywhere…

The 7th conference on Competence Oriented Learning and Validation of non-formal and informal learning (VINFL) will be carried out on 22nd and 23rd of September 2016.

After the 10-years anniversary of REVEAL network conferences in 2015 in Mechelen (BE) the 2016-conference will be carried out in the city of Thessaloniki, the Aristotele University and the CEDEFOP.

Leeskringen vormen een laagdrempelige manier voor laaggeletterden om samen over boeken te praten en om het enthousiasme voor lezen aan te wakkeren. Verschillende Limburgse bibliotheken organiseren daarom 'leeskringen' in verschillende vormen voor diverse doelgroepen, variërend van cursisten Nederlands en Nederlands als tweede taal op het ROC tot tot laaggeletterden in gevangenissen en tbs-klinieken.
