Tematem kongresu będzie rola bibliotekarek i bibliotekarzy w lokalnych społecznościach: o byciu aktywistką, liderem, menedżerką, trenerem, facylitatorką, powiernikiem, innowatorką, designerem, trendsetterką czy programistą. Nacisk zostanie położony na ukazanie roli nowych technologii i narzędzi, np. Virtual Reality, Snapchat czy Periscope oraz rozwój kompetencji zawodowych i osobistych.

Tas, cik labā līmenī tiks īstenota pieaugušo mācību programma, lielā mērā atkarīgs no publiskā iepirkuma ceļā izvēlētā pakalpojuma sniedzēja. From 15–19 August 2016 EPALE had a special focus on the theme non-formal and informal learning. The themed week was an opportunity for adult learning professionals from across Europe to raise awareness about the importance of non-formal and informal learning.

Mitteformaalse ja informaalse õppimise osas infot ja mõtteid vahetades tuleb kindlasti kasuks veidi lähem tutvumine õppimisvõimalustega mõnes vabatahtlikus ühenduses. Valisin selleks näiteks Eesti suurima liikmeskonnaga naisorganisatsiooni Naiskodukaitse.

Septembri alguses täitub Naiskodukaitsel 89. aastaring ja minul saab täis 23 aastat vabatahtlikku liikmelisust selles organisatsioonis. Ajastus näib igati sobivat selleks, et kirjutada läheneva aastapäeva tähistamiseks Naiskodukaitsest mitteformaalse ja informaalse õppimise kontekstis.

Through a range of different learning models people are brought together in an environment where they could live, talk, work and play together, with the experience supporting the break down of barriers that separated them.

Advice NI over the last 21 years has become a pillar of training within the community and voluntary sector of Northern Ireland. In 2013 Advice NI launched its first informal learning based project where learners direct the content of the programme. The project, Supporting Active Engagement, focuses on getting older people online by providing a 10-12 week tablet class that is delivered by volunteers.

Educator Louis Debono teaches in both formal and non-formal environments and greatly believes in the benefits and importance of both. As a teacher at De La Salle Sixth Form, in Malta, he uses formal learning on a daily basis, however he is also a champion for non-formal learning in his roles as a trainer for youth workers and volunteers for the European Volunteer Service, and a human rights trainer within the Council for Europe. Here he shares his experiences.
