U okviru međunarodnog projekta „Obrazovanje u zatvoru: način da se bude slobodan“, podržanog od strane Erasmus+ Programa Evropske unije (broj projekta: 2018-1-RS01-KA104-000304), tokom aprila 2019. godine, realizovane su aktivnosti međunarodnih mobilnosti. U aktivnostima mobilnosti učestvovali su predstavnici Društva andragoga Srbije, koje je nosilac projekta, i predstavnici škola za osnovno obrazovanje odraslih iz Srbije, koje pružaju usluge osnovnog obrazovanja odraslih u zatvorima u Srbiji. Domaćini su bili organizacija "Koine" iz Santa Maria a Vico (Italija) i organizacija "Roda: Roditelji u akciji" iz Zagreba (Hrvatska). U okviru ovog dokumenta predstavljeni su rezultati pomenuth aktivnosti međunarodnih mobilnosti.

There were 4,015 people in prison custody in Ireland in 2019, half of whom left school before they were 15 years old (Community Needs Analysis, Meaney, 2019). The rate of imprisonment in Ireland is approximately 81 per 100,000 of the general population (Irish Penal Reform Trust, 2019). Trying to ascertain figures for prisoners currently participating in education is difficult as the information is ambiguous.

From a lifelong learning perspective, education during incarceration is crucial for prisoners’ rehabilitation. This article describes the authors’ development of their Perceived Barriers to Prison Education Scale (PBPES) and examines what deters prisoners from participating in education during their incarceration, how their perceptions differ depending on gender, age, educational level, learning difficulties, length of prison sentence, and whether the prisoners express a desire to participate in education or not.

L'istruzione degli adulti nel confronto tra realtà italiana ed europea è il tema proposto dal convegno "La scuola dell'inclusione non ha confini. Istruzione per adulti e scuola in carcere.

Through the Erasmus+ Active Citizenship project, the Prisoners’ Education Trust has released the Citizenship Inside: A guide to creating active participation in prisons toolkit designed to be used by prisoners, prison staff and the voluntary sector to help drive engagement with active citizenship in prisons and prepare those in custody to have a positive experience when they are released.  

Przed wyjściem na wolność więźniowie stają przed wielkim wyzwaniem, jakim jest wzięcie życia w swoje ręce i rozważenie odpowiedniej przyszłości zawodowej. Przydatne może być tutaj uświadomienie sobie swoich mocnych stron i kompetencji w celu rozpoznania wszystkich możliwych obszarów rozwoju. Doradztwo przy pomocy ProfilPASSa może okazać się tutaj pomocne.

Before being released, prisoners face the huge challenge of taking their lives into their own hands and envisaging a suitable professional career for themselves. Identifying their own strengths and competencies helps them to see the wide range of job possibilities available to them. ProfilPASS counselling does just that.

La escasez de ciertos recursos dentro de las prisiones, incrementados por el hecho de que es imposible contar con conexión a internet y que el uso de los soportes informáticos es prácticamente inexistente o muy deficitario, privan a estas personas de un aprendizaje vital en nuestros días, máxime cuando el objetivo final de toda actividad formativa dentro de la cárcel es el de facilitar la incorporación a la vida del exterior una vez que se han cumplido las condenas.

Dyslexia Consultancy Malvern ha publicado una nueva serie de folletos que pueden ser utilizados como guías para todas esas personas que trabajan con presos con dificultades de aprendizaje. En ellos se tienen en cuenta los cambios introducidos por las reformas penitenciarias de 2019. Se incluyen ocho folletos en la colección y una hoja de auditoría de autoevaluación y una presentación en PowerPoint que cubre los temas a considerar. Están también disponibles gratuitamente para su descarga.

Se está desarrollando en el Centro Penitenciario Pamplona I un taller de Ópera con los internos de los distintos módulos. Acercarnos al mundo de la ópera para “entender” mejor a los personajes protagonistas de esas grandes historias que nos cuentan en cada ópera. Sus sentimientos, sus miedos, sus pasiones…

The HMI Prisons Stakeholder Survey is now live and Her Majesty’s Inspectorate of Prisons is kindly asking for stakeholders to come forward and share their feedback to help inform future business planning. Many of the questions focus on improving usability and navigation on their website. Findings will be available online in early 2020.

Dyslexia Consultancy Malvern has released a new series of booklets that can be used as guides by people working with prisoners who have Learning Difficulties. They take into account changes brought about by the 2019 Prison Reforms. Eight booklets are included in the collection and a self-assessment audit sheet and PowerPoint presentation covering issues for consideration are also freely available to download.
