I partner del progetto EDEC hanno elaborato un Manuale didattico con lavoro autonomo e di gruppo. L’obiettivo principale del manuale è ampliare e potenziare le competenze delle educatrici e degli educatori degli adulti, in particolare di coloro che si occupano di fornire servizi di consulenza ad adulti dotati di scarse competenze o qualifiche in ambito scolastico e professionale.

LESLLA is the international network for Literacy Education and Second Language Learning for Adults. Since its inception in 2005, it has widely supported adults with little or no home language schooling or literacy, to learn to read and write for the first time in a new language. Every year, the network organises an international symposium which offers a strong starting point for the research agenda as well as a host of resources and strategies for LESLLA practitioners. Due to COVID-19, in 2020 the network chose to organise a virtual gathering, from the 5th-7th August. The gathering focused on distance learning and the incorporation of volunteers into online teaching environments.

MORE THAN WORDS was a three-year Adult Education project which focused on the needs of people who do not speak the main language of the country in which they live. This was understood primarily to mean refugees and migrants, but the project also addressed other questions of linguistic exclusion, for example deafness, trauma and autism. The pan-European partnership consisted of some organisations who were already offering training in areas that could be beneficial for these groups, and some who were working directly in the target communities, with a degree of overlap.

Vlaanderen hinkt niet helemaal achterop wat betreft deelname aan opleiding. Dat blijkt uit een nieuw monitoringsrapport van het departement Werk en Sociale Economie, samen met het Steunpunt Werk over de opleidingsdeelname van volwassenen en de opleidingsinspanningen van werkgevers. Er zijn positieve signalen, zoals het feit dat Vlaamse werkgevers goede opleidingsinspanningen leveren en de meeste volwassenen bereid zijn om een opleiding te volgen, of dat al deden. Maar er zijn ook nog drempels. Stof tot nadenken, alleszins.

In combating pandemics, more can be gained by changing citizens’ behaviours than by relying solely on the medical route. In the current COVID-19 pandemic, the struggle to contain the outbreak and push back new infection figures will ultimately be won by training citizens how to avoid creating secondary transmission chains. The COVID-19 pandemic highlights the relationship between individual behaviour and group risk. Mass training of all social strata of a country’s entire population is therefore critical in mitigating the pandemic.

Marina works at the Greek Association of Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Disorders (Alzheimer Hellas) which is a non-profit organisation providing a wide range of services to people with Alzheimer's and to their families. Serving the local community since 1995, Alzheimer Hellas offers a safe and supportive environment for people with dementia and their carers. Providing support for the carers, especially in a period during which the behavioural problems of people with dementia were exacerbated, was her priority.

Der Beitrag beschreibt das Curriculum GlobALE, ein kompetenz-orientiertes Kerncurriculum für die Ausbildung von Erwachsenenbildnerinnen und Erwachsenenbildnern im außeruniversitären Bereich, das als qualitätssichernder Referenzrahmen eine globale Gültigkeit anstrebt. Das Curriculum wird aus der Programmplanungsperspektive dargestellt und analysiert. Zunächst werden kurz Programmplanungsmodelle im Kontext der Professionalisierung der Erwachsenenbildung skizziert, mit besonderer Berücksichtigung eines Kompetenzorientierungszugangs, der auch die Grundlage für das Curriculum GlobALE bildet.
