The Super Educator Conference is an excellent opportunity for mentors and practitioners working in the School of Health Sciences to network and share best practice. The School of Health Sciences develop mentors and practice placement educators who then guide learners’ through their practice experiences. The event will take place at Brighton University.

The Frontline Network Annual Conference 2019 will take place in London on 20 June and will be hosted by charity St Martin-in-the-Fields. The theme of the event will be the wellbeing of workers on the frontline, which is continually growing in importance following funding cuts, organisational and welfare reforms. The conference is free to attend and will deliver interactive workshops during the afternoon.

The Mind Body Spirt Ltd Wellbeing Festival returns to London Olympia to deliver over 48 workshops that explore a range of mindfulness practices over the course of four days. The festival can be enjoyed by anyone, but may be of particular interest to those working in the mental health sector, healthcare, as a carer, or as a mental health first aider. Attendees can enjoy performances, including those that incorporate dance, music and yoga, plus much more.
Held in Solihull, Birmingham, this mindfulness course is designed to introduce attendees to mindfulness techniques in order to help them relax, reduce stress and build confidence. It can be beneficial to anyone, but may be of particular appeal to people working in mental health or who act as mental health first aiders at work.
Aim of the training: The aim of the course is to enable the participants to intervene in the workplace and daily life in case of sudden illness or injury and to gain basic life support when necessary. First Aid Training is among the trainings for all people in your home, at work and in your life.
Number of participants: It is organized in groups of 17 people.
Time: 2 day (8+8 hours)
The Adult Mental Health First Aid two day course enables attendees to qualify as a mental health first aider and they will receive a certificate on completion of both days of the training course. They will build the skills and knowledge necessary to carry out the role, including developing listening, observing and supporting skills.
The Royal College of Psychiatrists in London are holding the Teaching Skills: The Effective Lecturer event aimed at training levels FY1&2, CT1-3 and ST4-6, and also students. The event will focus on how to deliver a well-structured lecture and how to receive constructive feedback that can contribute to becoming a better and more effective lecturer.
