Slovenia joined the process of implementation of the European Agenda for Adult Learning (EAAL) at the end of 2012. At first we developed a promotional campaign, called the Learning Parade – Days of learning communities (external link) (2013-2015), which drew significant attention to 21 Slovenian cities. Now, this approach has become a component of the Lifelong Learning Week (LLW (external link)).

La Validation des compétences en chiffres en Fédération Wallonie-Bruxelles

près de 500 Titres ont été délivrés via les épreuves de validation des compétences et près de 1 000 via la Reconnaissance des Acquis de Formation.

Es una aptitud vital que ofrece a la gente la habilidad de realizar elecciones informadas cuando se refiere a su dinero. Una buena alfabetización financiera significa que la gente es capaz de tomar mejores decisiones cuando se trata de ahorrar para sus estudios y pensión o elegir el plan apropiado de hipoteca para su casa.

EAEA welcomes the Resolution of the European Council on "Promoting socio-economic development and inclusiveness in the EU through education: the contribution of education and training to the European Semester 2016," which highlights the need for education and training to respond to these challenges. EAEA stresses the importance of non-formal and informal learning, and in particular of adult education, that receive too little attention in this Resolution.

Het project EMMA krijgt steun van de Europese Commissie om gratis, open, online cursussen (zogenaamde MOOCs) aan te bieden in meerdere talen. Het platform EMMA biedt nu al verschillende meertalige en kwalitatief hoogstaande MOOCS van gerespecteerde onderwijs- en educatieve instellingen uit de hele wereld aan. EMMA wil het platform nu ook beter bekend maken in de community van Europese projecten.

Daarom kunt u nu op het platform een GRATIS MOOC aanbieden op voorwaarde dat die van start gaat voor 31 juli 2016

EMMA is a 30-month pilot action supported by the European Commission that provides an innovative system for the delivery of free, open, online courses (MOOCs) in multiple languages. EMMA hosts a growing number of high-quality multilingual MOOCs from renowned educational institutions and organizations worldwide and they are currently interested in reaching the European project community.

That's why EMMA offers (to institutions with proven experience and expertise) to host a MOOC on the EMMA platform at no cost provided it starts by July 31st 2016.

O foco do projeto Destination eValidation (DesTeVa) da UE é o desenvolvimento de uma ferramenta online para a validação dessas competências adquiridas de modo informal.

El objetivo principal del proyecto de la UE «Destination eValidation» (DesTeVa) es la creación de una herramienta en línea para validar dichas competencias, adquiridas de manera informal.

TimeHeroes (timeheroes.org) е най-голямата платформа за доброволчество в България. Тя свързва хората, които искат да помагат, с каузите, които имат нужда от подкрепа. Към края на 2015 г. има над 20 000 регистрирани доброволци, които са подкрепили общо 35 000 пъти повече от 900 инициативи, осъществени в 110 населени места в България. TimeHeroes е основният, а често и единственият източник на доброволци за българските неправителствени организации – чрез платформата доброволци са намирали повече от 520 НПО, неформални групи и активни граждани.

If you've ever tried to learn a new concept, you probably appreciate that "knowing" is different from "doing." When you have an opportunity to apply your knowledge, the lesson typically becomes much more real. 

Adults often learn differently from children, and we have different motivations for learning. Typically, we learn new skills because we want to. We recognize the need to learn and grow, and we usually need – or want – to apply our newfound knowledge soon after we've learned it.
