Coincidiendo con la temática EPALE de este mes: “Inclusión social de los grupos vulnerables”, queremos resaltar el comienzo hoy, día 11 de septiembre, del Foro internacional de la UNESCO sobre inclusión y equidad en la educación: todas y todos los estudiantes cuentan. Tiene lugar en Cali (Colombia) hasta el 13 de septiembre, en conmemoración del 25 aniversario de la Conferencia Mundial sobre Educación para Necesidades Especiales celebrada en Salamanca (España), en el año 1944.

Latvijā 2019.gada 2.ceturksnī 17,6%* bezdarbnieku bija cilvēki, kuri ieguvuši tikai pamatizglītību vai zemāku izglītību. Priekšlaicīgi mācības pārtraukušie bieži kļūst par mazaizsargāto grupu pārstāvjiem, jo zemo prasmju un zināšanu dēļ nespēj pilnvērtīgi iekļauties sabiedrībā. Lai risinātu šo problēmu, Latvijā jau trešo gadu tiek īstenots ES fondu projekts “PuMPuRS”, kura ietvaros speciālisti agrīni diagnosticē priekšlaicīgas mācību pārtraukšanas riskus un īsteno integrējošus pasākumus jauniešu noturēšanai skolas vidē. Šajā rakstā Agnese Zarāne apraksta projekta “PuMPuRS” aktivitātes, kas palīdz mazaizsargātajām sabiedrības grupām un kalpo par platformu izaugsmei gan iesaistītajiem jauniešiem, gan to pedagogiem un atbalsta personālam.

In last June, the first kick-off meeting took place in Vilnius, Lithuania in a new Nordplus project. The new project name is “Education of Older Adults: Comparing Baltic and Nordic Frameworks”, with the working title OLDER.
Coordination institute is Medardas Cobotas Third Age University (MCTAU) in Lithuania. Other partners are Latvian Adult Education Association in Latvia, Interfolk, Institute for Civil Society in Denmark and the Adult education at the Agricultural University of Iceland.
