EPALE - Elektroniczna platforma na rzecz uczenia się dorosłych w Europie

Open University Koprivnica from Croatia is looking for partners in KA2 ERASMUS+ (strategic partnerships) interested in development of new curriculum for building energy sustainable residential buildings, made from natural materials.

We are looking for partners within craft schools, open universities (or similar institutions which deals with adult education).

Open University Koprivnica is a leading institution in Republic of Croatia for adult education, lifelong learning and culture.

University has a long and rich tradition in adult education and lifelong learning, and is included in strong network of partners from Croatia and abroad. For years University has been answering to demands of the labour market, offering new programs and training courses for scarce skills, thus indirectly affecting the decrease of the unemployment rate. University has a rich experience in international projects concerning adult education.

POU Koprivnica is applying to the program ERASMUS+ 2019. the project „BEEH –building energy efficient houses” (working title of the project).

Project is based on developing a new curriculum for building energy sustainable residential buildings, made from natural materials, keeping in mind this is a curriculum made for the target group-Roma population.

Roma population is recognized as a marginalized group in all segments of life, throughout Europe. One of the most important reason for this is the low level of education of the Roma population, which leads to low economic conditions, living conditions, employment opportunities, etc. Consequently, the above-mentioned Roma community lives, in most cases, isolated from the majority population.

During the project four modules will be created (each partner will be responsible for one module). The curriculum should be made by applying the principle of lifelong learning, flexible ways of learning in different areas of education and trainings.

This curriculum is one step forward to improve the living conditions of Roma population in Croatia and in partner’s countries: Roma people will learn how to build an energy sustainable house, made out of natural materials.

The Croatian partners in this project are Association of Roma people “Korak po korak” and Obrtnička škola Koprivnica (Craft school Koprivnica).
