Non-formal and informal learning EPALE

 

In June and July EPALE is having a special focus on non-formal and informal learning.

 

There are many reasons why non-formal and informal learning are important:

  • They can compliment formal learning by covering needs or certain aspects that regulated institutions lack.
  • They are relatively voluntary and their end goal is often pure learning rather than a degree.
  • They are flexible and allow for more personalised and focused learning.

On EPALE we want to explore the benefits and challenges of non-formal and informal learning, as well as innovations, new methods and approaches, good practice examples and case studies of successful projects in the area.

    There are a lot of discussions about how we learn languages. Recently researches and just teachers in Adult Education har found that it is not enough for adults to learn language by sitting only at the school bench. We realise it also by implementation of our ERASMUS project about flexible learning and interaction with our partners in Europe.
