L’intégration des migrants passe par l’emploi et l’emploi passe par l’apprentissage de la langue du pays d’accueil. Pistes-Solidaires est partenaire depuis septembre 2018 du projet WORK-VR. Un projet lancé par l’organisme danois VIFIN portant sur l’utilisation de la réalité virtuelle au service de l’apprentissage des langues et de l’insertion. Le but est de créer une plateforme de formation en ligne pour l’apprentissage de compétences linguistiques et culturelles liées au travail.

ELT Ireland Annual Conference 2020

This year's conference will certainly get us talking and thinking. Kicking off at 9 AM on 22nd February, we will host over 30 speakers and expect to welcome over 300 attendees across the two-day event. We are an Adult school from Thessaloniki (Grecce) looking for two partners who would like to recieve teachers involved in international mobility projects (KA 104, job shadowing). We are planning the mobility of 5 teachers within the Erasmus Project to learn new methodologies in the Adult teaching, which might offer us a different point of view to motivate our students to finish their studies and to get integrated in our culture acquiring linguistic competences and knowledge about new technologies. In the same way, we also offer the possibility of receiving other teachers in a nearly future. English for Educators: advance your career (level II)

This course is ideal for all educators (primary, secondary and university teachers, university staff (academic & admin), adult educators, trainers & coaches) who want to improve their level of spoken and written English. It is designed to provide the participants with speaking, reading and writing practice for both academic and professional purposes and to improve their overall proficiency in English language in a dynamic and communicative way, through individual, pair and group work. It focuses on enabling the participants to speak and write accurately and fluently about various (general and business) topics and use appropriate language in both informal and formal settings. The course will place emphasis on strategies for effective speaking and writing and the use of these strategies to improve the participants’ analytical, as well as presentation skills. It will empower them to use a range of different ways to express and connect their ideas.

Looking for partners who work with adult learners with fewer opportunities (KA1)

Adult education center Ajdovščina is holder of an ERASMUS+ KA1 project. We are looking for partners to host our members of staff. Job shadowing should be in the working with with adult learners with fewer opportunities (migrants, neets, unemployed persons, old adults, people with disabilities, etc.). 

Currently we prepare a new KA1 project from 2020 to 2022. For this we are also looking for hosting partners, especially in  the area of ​​empowerment adult learners with fewer opportunities.

ICT skills for Educators

Computing and IT is required by all businesses and jobs in today’s world. Information and Communication technology (ICT) has the potentialict_3 to transform teaching and learning processes. According to a recent study in OECD countries, students are more sophisticated in their use of technology than teachers; an inherent discrepancy between student knowledge and usage of ICTs with the abilities of teacher to use ICTs. This suggest that teacher inexperience and skill deficiencies may often be a fundamental factor which prevents the effectiveness of ICT use in education. The same study reveals that the most effective uses of ICT are those in which the teacher, aided by ICTs, may challenge understanding and thinking of pupils, and this can be done through whole-class discussions and/or individual/small group workshops using ICTs. Nowadays, it is widely accepted that the use of ICTs should not aim at completely transforming teacher practices in and of itself but rather enabling and supporting the move from traditional ‘teacher-centric’ teaching styles to more ‘learner-centric’ methods. In other words, making each one of the students active and fully engaged. The ‘ICT skills for Educators’ course is designed to enable participants to improve their teaching practices with the use of specific ICT tools, such as smart boards, web conferencing and webinars, among others, thus, creating a ‘learner-centric’ classroom. This is an ideal course for all teachers, educators & trainers interested in continuing professional development (CPD).

Our courses include traditional and modern handcrafts, teaching languages (English, German, Turkish), ceramics and pottery making, tailoring, basic literacy education in Turkish, hair care and beauty, child and mother development, ICT and sports. 

We are looking for institutions operating in the similar fields as ours to share and exchange information (in the first place) and then have partnership in future projects.

International Congress of Pedagogical Research - 2020 ICOPR-2020 will be held on June 24-26, 2020 in Düzce, Turkey. The main theme of the Event is “Environment and Teaching 21st Century Skills”.
