We are looking for partners from SWEDEN, GERMANY, AUSTRIA for an ERASMUS+KA2 project!

We are a music school from Alytus, Lithuania. Currently we are writting a project related to an unemployment of young adults. We seek to make it easier to find jobs through the cultural heritage.

Young adults, looking for a place in a job market, often feel foreign, it is difficult for them to adapt to a new environment. As the unemployment levels are high these days, there is a huge mobility of young people between the European countries. Therefore the acquaintance with the European cultural heritage is essential for the project participant. Cultural heritage is the key element of nation's self representation, its identification.

Getting to know the most important places or traditions of other countries would provide young adults with the necessary information for integration, self-confidence, inspire them and strengthen the competences for collaboration. For example, while knowing the cultural history and traditions of other country, the project participant would easier integrate into the cultural and social context of other country.

The output of the project will be a handbook. It would introduce the most important fields of cultural heritage of each country, explain how it might help in finding a job, adapt to a new environment. There will also be artistic-educational exercises created during the project.

As for the fields of cultural heritage, we have chosen the old-towns, traditional songs and dances, traditional food.

If you are interested in working with us, please let us know as soon as possible.
