In the 21st century, people live much longer than they used to in the past. This positive change brings also a challenge: living longer, people develop multimorbidity, and in consequence, are often prescribed numerous drugs. This scenario, called polypharmacy, leads to non-adherence in the elderly, with all its negative health and social consequences.

Can these problems be solved? So far, healthcare professionals were lacking effective tools to manage polypharmacy and non-adherence in the elderly.

Now, the scenario has changed. Innovative e-learning program produced within Skills4Adherence project provides easy to use comprehensive training in the management of polypharmacy and non-adherence in the elderly. The training is freely available to anybody interested. Healthcare professionals are more than welcome, yet the service is of interest of psychologists, social workers, regulators, and all those involved in elderly care. In order to help professional career development, the service provides testing and certification.

Skills4Adherence e-learning program is available in 4 languages: English, Italian, Polish and Portuguese, at www.Skills4Adherence.eu
