A New Adult Education Project from Gaziantep University:"Supporting and Improving the Basic Competencies of Refugees on Common Human Values to Become a World Citizen"

Gaziantep University (GAÜN) has added a new one to its projects under the Erasmus Plus Program conducted by the European Union Education and Youth Programs Center. The project offered during the 2019 Call for Proposals within the scope of Adult Education, it has awarded 209 grants in applications in Turkey. The project numbered 1-TR01-KA204-073853 under the coordination of Gaziantep University and titled "Supporting and Developing the Basic Competencies of Refugees on the Way to Become a World Citizen" started to be carried out with national and transnational partners.Among the institutions and organizations that have been established as partnerships within the scope of the project, Gaziantep Metropolitan Municipality, Istanbul Technical University, KAYRA Consultancy Training; The project also supports Lousada Municipality from Portugal, Ajuntament De Villanueva de Castellon Municipality from Spain and Tavo Europa Association from Lithuania.

The purpose of the project is "Common Human Values"

With ongoing immigration-oriented population growth in Turkey and Europe, the need to increase the cooperation of institutions and organizations in this field has emerged.

The kick-off meeting, which will include participants from the partner countries of the project, will be hosted by Gaziantep University at the end of February. After the meeting, which will make important contributions to the project, a training module will be created to contribute to the creation of common human values. Project activities will be carried out simultaneously with 4 countries
