From 27 to 30 November 2019 the Flemish National Agency, Epos and the Landcommanderij Alden Biesen organized an ERASMUS+ contact seminar on Active Citizenship for organisations in formal and non-formal adult education. The theme was very closely linked to the development of intercultural competences and people’s participation in democratic life, their social and civic engagement through formal and non-formal learning activities. The focus was on raising awareness on and understanding the common European values; the principles of unity and diversity.
The goal of the contact seminar was
- to raise the number of high quality Erasmus+ projects (especially in key action 2)
- sharing the best practices, discussing ideas for new projects
- preparing drafts of new Erasmus+ Adult Education projects about the theme of the contact seminar.
Representatives from 19 countries, all organisations working on the improvement of adult learners’ active citizenship competences in the formal or non-formal adult education sector, ware present.
