Για τις #ErasmusDays2018, οι ομάδες της EPALE επιθυμούσαν να ευαισθητοποιήσουν σχετικά με τη δέσμευση της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης στον τομέα της δια βίου εκπαίδευσης ενηλίκων. Δημιούργησαν μια ψηφιακή έκθεση με 22 διαφορετικά έργα, επιδεικνύοντας την ποικιλία των πρακτικών σε ολόκληρη την Ευρώπη.

I had the pleasure of taking part in the TCA Seminar titled ‘'Paths towards Citizenship through European Cultural Heritage' in Palermo from 26th to 29th September 2018.  A wide range of speakers and topics and participants, all from a different angle, offered a most interesting overview of how cultural heritage shapes lives, cultures and societies in ways we aren’t even aware of.

We would like to visit adult education centres in Europe, mainly Portugal, since we are willing to learn how to improve our teaching in this field, by means of incorporating experiences and knowledge from other places in Europe. In the future, we would like to develop some kind of project with a partner in a KA204.

This is an open invitation and encouragement to all those organizations or enthusiasts who are thinking about applying for mobility grants, but are still on the fence: absolutely DO apply for a European grant. While sometimes, especially for novices, it is not clear or easy to grasp the long-term benefits of investing time and resources into Erasmus+ workshops, info-days, webinars and many other ways one can learn about the opportunities Erasmus offers, whatever the call/sector may be, the greatest benefits are not quite tangible, nor can be quantified in the application form. The values of the results so drastically outweigh the time and trouble you invest in the preparation and application that it is hard to imagine any organization working in the Adult Education sector that would not benefit from applying. Let me try to explain:

The second mobility, the Job Shadowing, provided three members of the staff of the School for Elementary Education of Adults in Sombor with a unique opportunity to get some first-hand insight into the daily operation and work of a similar school in Croatia, Pučko Učilište "Andragog" in the City of Osijek.

The Escuela Oficial de Idiomas, EOI Madrid-Jesús Maestro, is a public institution of adult education. It is part of the Department of Education and Research of the Comunidad de Madrid.  22 languages from A1 to C2 of the CEFR levels are taught.

We have already developed three Erasmus+ KA1 projects where our teachers followed courses and job-shadowing activities in various countries.

There is an App for That! Exploring the Best Apps for Teaching and Student Learning

This course has been created for teachers who want to integrate educational apps into their teaching practice. Educational Apps are an essential part of current, up-to-date classrooms and provide various opportunities for higher-level thinking. Participants will discover some of the most popular and practical educational apps for teaching and student learning across a wide range of subjects. They will learn how to properly integrate these apps in the classroom as a tool to support their learning. Participants will also learn the concept of ‘app-smashing’ and how it can enhance their teaching and student learning. By the end of this course, participants will be able to confidently integrate a variety of apps into their lesson plans. They will have a greater understanding of app integration in both academic and non-academic settings as well as be able to use app-smashing in projects.
