Η Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή έχει ανακοινώσει μια ηλεκτρονική δημόσια διαβούλευση για μία νέα πρωτοβουλία που λέγεται Ευρωπαϊκός Πυλώνας Κοινωνικών Δικαιωμάτων.

Липсата на образовани, квалифицирани и дисциплинирани кадри е най-големият проблем пред предприемачеството в България. Това е изводът от дискусия на тема „Демографската ситуация в България - изчезващ вид ли са младите предприемачи", организирана от Българската стопанска камара, Института за изследване на населението и човека към БАН и Националната асоциация на младите предприемачи. Експертите се обединиха около тезата, че липсата на подготвени хора е дори по-голям проблем за бизнеса, отколкото намаляващото население.

Lancering educatief spel Biz-e-bee

Serious games worden steeds belangrijker als didactische methode in het onderwijs. Daarin mag het volwassenenonderwijs niet achter blijven. Biz-e-bee is een educatief bordspel dat ondernemerschapscompententies stimuleert bij volwassenen cursisten. Maar er is meer: het spel is zo ontwikkeld dat je het kan aanpassen naargelang de inhoud van een specifiek vak. Biz-e-bee kan dus niet alleen ingezet worden in bijvoorbeeld de opleiding bedrijfsbeheer, maar ook in alle andere opleidingen in het volwassenenonderwijs.

The Survey of Adult Skills finds that adults aged 55 to 65 are less proficient in literacy and numeracy than adults aged 25 to 34. But differences in skills proficiency that are related to age vary widely across countries, implying that skills policies can affect the evolution of proficiency over a lifetime. And while older adults are generally less proficient than younger adults, they do no worse – and often better – than younger adults in terms of labour market outcomes.

Cedefop research shows that 29% of the EU adult population suffers from qualification mismatches, mostly as overqualification. Cedefop expert @K_Pouliakas notes that 'about a quarter of tertiary education graduates work in jobs below their qualification level; this is a waste of public resources and a taint on the value of further education.'

Някои от тях може да бъдат включени и да получат нов стимул в предстоящата „Нова програма за уменията за Европа”, която в момента се разработва от Европейската комисия.
