The preliminary results of the ‘National Employee Skills Survey’ were launched on 20 July 2016.  The National Commission for Further and Higher Education (NCFHE), Jobsplus (the Public Employment Service)​and Malta Enterprise​, conducted this research during the first quarter of 2016 among a representative sample of employers as part of the Erasmus+ project ‘Promoting the Bologna Process in Malta 2014-2016’. It identifies skills shortages and provides insights into the Maltese labour market.  

 

Pracovat nepřetržitě až do smrti? Ani náhodou. Musíme žít a pracovat jinak než naši rodiče. Chceme kariéru ve vlnách a ne jako žebřík. Takový postoj zaujímají mladí lidé narození mezi lety 1982 až 1996, kterým se začíná říkat „mileniálové“.

Většina mladých (84 %) si chce v kariérním maratonu udělat delší pauzy. Kariérní žebříček vystřídají kariérní vlny.

Workplace innovation – Sustainable work

On September 29, an interactive conference organised jointly by the European Economic and Social Committee (EESC), Eurofound and the Workage project, coordinated by Nottingham Trent University, will take place in the EESC in Brussels. The event will bring together representatives from business, public policy, research and social partner organisations to explore new findings from Eurofound’s Sustainable Work Report and from the Workage Project’s research and interventions in two UK workplaces, as well as drawing on the EESC’s work and experience in this area.

Foundation Seminar Series (FSS) 2016 - The impact of digitalisation on work: Building up national agendas for better implementation of digital changes

Foundation Seminar Series aims to facilitate knowledge sharing, mutual learning and networking on a given topic between nominated practitioners from governments and social partners, by enabling tripartite exchanges of national and company policies and practices allowing for discussions between the participating countries in a neutral and informal setting. Foundation Seminar Series 2016 took place in Dublin on 26 – 27 May (Session 1). Session 2 will take place in Berlin, 13 - 14 October.

There is a common misconception that the Europass CV is something only for the younger generation, but the truth is that Europass is for anyone who feels comfortable using a computer on a daily basis. It is probably true that the younger people are more active when it comes to trying out new ways of operating online, but Europass is not just a novelty. It is here to stay.

Monet ajattelevat, että Europass ansioluettelo on vain nuorten juttu, vaikka asia ei suinkaan ole näin. Oikeasti Europassia ei ole suunnattu millekään tietylle kohderyhmälle, vaan se sopii kaikille, jotka hallitsevat tietokoneen käytön perusteet. Lienee totta, että nuoret ovat aktiivisempia kokeilemaan uusia internetpalveluita kuin vanhempiensa sukupolvi, mutta Europassi ei ole ainoastaan uutuus muiden joukossa. Se on selvästi vakiinnuttanut oman asemansa.

When Europe began to look for ways to deal with the effects of the global financial crisis after 2008, it faced the challenge to start the engine of the social change; to identify initiatives for social inclusion for the millions remaining outside the labor market; to develop policies which encourage the civic participation and integrate the marginalized vulnerable groups or those at risk of social exclusion.

Na poziomie Unii Europejskiej cele i priorytety odnoszące się do uczenia się w miejscu pracy (ang. work-based learning - WBL) zostały ujęte (bezpośrednio i pośrednio) w szeregu kluczowych strategii i inicjatyw. Niemniej jednak, nie jest chyba zaskoczeniem, że na poziomie krajowym strategie odnoszące się do uczenia się w miejscu pracy są bardzo zróżnicowane w poszczególnych krajach europejskich i obejmują szeroki zakres praktyk oraz różne środowiska pracy i uczenia się.

This 2016 edition of the OECD Employment Outlook provides an in-depth review of recent labour market trends and short-term prospects in OECD countries. Chapter 1 examines recent labour market developments, with a special focus on vulnerable youth who are neither working nor in education or training. The size of this group has grown in recent years in many OECD countries and governments will need to take vigorous policy measures if they are to meet the target, recently adopted by G20 governments, of reducing the share of youth who are vulnerable by 15% by 2025.

In our current society there is a strong need for citizens to work on their employability and to develop key competences (European Commission, 2006, van Woensel (ed), 2008). Developing those competences should starts during formal education, but maintained throughout working life. It requires a change in current educational and a move towards lifelong learning. Individuals need to actively look for learning opportunities.

A munkahelyi tanulásnak több formája is lehet: lehet saját kezdeményezésű is, de megvalósulhat a gyakorlaton keresztül is. Azonban a kis- és középvállalkozásokban léteznek sokkal jobban felépített tanulási megközelítések is, melyekben szerepet kapnak a szakmai oktatók is. De... kik ezek az oktatók?

Az Európai Szakszervezeti Szövetség nemrég egy sor minőségügyi szabványt és minőségügyi feltételt javasolt a gyakorlati képzéshez egy új tanulmányban. Bár a gyakorlati képzés utáni érdeklődés „aranykorát“ éljük, meg kell teremtenünk a gyakorlati képzési stratégia megvalósításának „aranykorát“ – írja Jeff Bridgford, a London Kings' College munkatársa.

Uczenie się w miejscu pracy może przybierać różne formy; może być inicjowane samodzielnie lub wynikać z praktyki. W przypadku MŚP istnieją jednak także bardziej uporządkowane podejścia do uczenia się, w których biorą udział trenerzy wewnętrzni. Ale…. kim są ci trenerzy?

En el lugar de trabajo pueden realizarse distintos tipos de aprendizaje: puede iniciarse por iniciativa propia o bien producirse con la práctica. No obstante, en las pymes existen también otros enfoques más estructurados del aprendizaje donde entra en juego la formación continua. Pero, ¿quiénes son los formadores?

Lernen am Arbeitsplatz kann auf unterschiedliche Art und Weise stattfinden. Es kann in Eigeninitiative erfolgen oder durch „learning by doing”. In KMU gibt es jedoch auch stärker strukturierte Ansätze zum Lernen, an denen betriebsinterne Trainer beteiligt sind. Aber – wer sind diese Trainer?

W nowym sprawozdaniu Europejska Konfederacja Związków Zawodowych wezwała do poszerzenia zakresu kryteriów jakości przygotowania zawodowego. Jednak nowy „złoty wiek” zainteresowania przygotowaniem zawodowym musi zmienić się w „złoty wiek” wdrażania – napisał Jeff Bridgford z King’s College London.
