Agrupamento de Escolas Martinho Árias is a public school in the municipality of Soure, based in the middle of Portugal (2h distance from Lisbon, to the north, and 1h30m distance from Oporto - to the south, just in the middle of those 2 cities). Our school has more than 1400 students, from 3 years old till 18 years old, plus all the adults we have in this sector (more than 200).Regarding adult sector we have a prior learning assessement/validation of prior learnings center for adults (Centro Qualifica) that don't have a schoolar diploma, so we do prior learning recognitions according to the standards that the ministery of education defined that a 12 years school/9 years school adult must know to have the diploma.
We have a lot of experience in doing this schoolar assessement/recognition and the portuguese model was already distinguish by European Comission as a good model. In 2011 we attended a training course in the European Association for the Education of Adults, in Brussels; in 2013 we attended the Seminar on the Validation of Non-Formal and Informal Learning organized by the European Commition Directorate-General Education and Culture, in Mechelen (Belgium); in 2014 we attended the Seminar on the Value of Non Formal Learning and Validation/Recognition of the Competences Acquired, organized by the Italian Erasmus+ National Agency for youth sector.
Our idea for an Erasmus+ KA2 project is to do an exchange of good pratices in the field of adult learning/prior learnings assessement. We know how it works in Portugal and we want to know how other countries are doing it and also explain the portuguese model. With the contribution and expertice of other organizations/countries we also want to improve our approche and ways of doing it.
We are searching for partners that work with validation of prior learning in adults field. We are searching partners of diferent backgrounds profile, could be from public or private sector; research organizations or local organizations working directly with adults. We want partners from different countries in Europe.
If you work in thees type of organizations please contact us :)
