Agence du climat, le guichet des solutions
The Climate agency is a one-stop shop for solutions in the fields of energy and climate transitions based in Strasbourg metropolitan area. The agency is an important tool in response to climate emergency and the concrete implementation of the Eurometropolis Climate Plan (SECAP). The agency ‘missions are to support all citizens, companies, and municipalities (33) from the territory, in implementing projects that contribute to carbon neutrality and climate adaptation.
Created in 2021, the climate agency implemented concrete actions on energy efficiency for buildings (private and public), low carbon transport solutions for citizens and SMEs, greening of spaces (private and public), renewable-energy, energy poverty, innovative financing schemes, in close cooperation with Strasbourg stakeholders (private, public and citizens).
To implement these solutions, the agency develops 3 kinds of actions :
-tailored support and training,
- communication and awareness raising
- animation of local networks on climate and energy challenges
The climate agency became in 2022 a “Covenant supporter” to promote the Covenant of Mayors initiative and support the commitments of the Eurometropolis of Strasbourg. The climate agency created a department dedicated to EU policies and projects to support the Eurometropolis and local members in contributing to EU green deal policies and programs
