Brzmi znajomo?

Inclusion in vocational teaching poses major challenges: How to deal with heterogeneous groups of pupils with varying levels of ability? How to ensure that all participants can learn at their own pace, fully get to grips with the content and can subsequently establish themselves on the labour market? The strategic partnership “GastroINKLUSIV – New models for inclusive teaching at vocational schools” embraced these challenges with a particular focus on the food and beverage industry.

The Ubele Initiative works with disadvantaged communities, most notably black and minority ethnic (BME) communities, providing an alternative view of adult education delivery through the lens of intergenerational practice-based learning. The Sankofa Intergenerational Learning Hub (TSILH) involved working with 110 participants on five leadership and learning courses in Athens, Greece and Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is the transformation of society through the participation of individuals as co-creator of learning that TSILH sought to challenge in contrast to the traditional approach to learning, where the learner is often seen as object rather than the author of their journey.
