Ljudska univerza Slovenska Bistrica je bila uspešna na razpisu za izvajanje dolgega programa socialne aktivacije, ki sta ga sofinancirala Evropski socialni sklad in Ministrstvo za delo, družino, socialne zadeve in enake možnosti. S prijavljenim projektom »Aktivno v boljši jutri« smo na različnih delavnicah in izobraževanjih omogočili ranljivim in socialno prikrajšanim posameznikom krepitev in usvajanje novih, funkcionalnih in delovnih spretnosti, utrjevanje komunikacijskih veščin in izboljšanje samopodobe.

Wie sicherstellen, dass alle Teilnehmenden auf ihrem persönlichen Level mitgenommen werden, dass sie Lerninhalte für sich schlüssig verarbeiten und schließlich auf dem Arbeitsmarkt Fuß fassen können? Die Strategische Partnerschaft „GastroINKLUSIV – Neue Modelle für inklusiven Fachunterricht an der Berufsschule“ hat sich diesen „Stolpersteinen“, mit Fokus auf das Themenfeld Gastronomie, angenommen.

The Ubele Initiative works with disadvantaged communities, most notably black and minority ethnic (BME) communities, providing an alternative view of adult education delivery through the lens of intergenerational practice-based learning. The Sankofa Intergenerational Learning Hub (TSILH) involved working with 110 participants on five leadership and learning courses in Athens, Greece and Amsterdam, Netherlands. It is the transformation of society through the participation of individuals as co-creator of learning that TSILH sought to challenge in contrast to the traditional approach to learning, where the learner is often seen as object rather than the author of their journey.

This blog focuses on this research: ‘How well-prepared autistic and/or dyslexic women feel when they move into tertiary education and how this relates to experiences in the tertiary setting’

The transition from school into tertiary education appears to be under researched, especially in relation to students with learning differences such as dyslexia and autism. Participants identified they needed more support from tertiary education services for their mental health, navigating their environment and organizing their time. Guidelines were produced, based on advice from participants in this research, with a view to supporting autistic and dyslexic women transitioning to tertiary education in the future.
