Es war der dritte Tag der Ausnahmesituation. Die erste Panik wich der Suche nach Möglichkeiten. Ich entschied, das Herumhocken zu Hause sinnvoll zu verbringen– zum Beispiel mit dem Erwerb neuer Kenntnisse und Kompetenzen. Heute sind die ersten 100 Tage des digitalen Sprachunterrichts vorüber. Zeit also für einen Rückblick.

KA2 Proposal on Body Positivity among young teenagers - Looking for partners

We are looking for partners for a project proposal that we will submit to the next KA201 call. The main output is going to be an e-book that targets young teens (11-13 years old) and tackles the issue of body changes during puberty. The project's aim will be to provide teens support, reassurance, and explanations about these changes and help them develop a heathy relationship with their bodies through storytelling. The partnership currently comprises a digital agency (CIVIC), a certified Health at Every Size nutritionist who specialises in body positivity, body image, and food relationship issues, and a training company with experience in the creation of e-books for children. We are looking for partners passionate about the topic who want to make a positive change in adolescents' lives. We would love to involve in our project university departments (psychology, child psychology, creative writing, or any other relevant field), organisations that have been working on body positivity, body neutrality, fatphobia issues, organisations working with adolescents, publishing houses, schools (primary and middle schools), or anyone else that can help us develop high quality and useful deliverables.

Από την αρχή, οι στόχοι της πρωτοβουλίας υπήρξαν η πλήρης εμπλοκή της κοινότητας μας στην αφήγηση των ιστοριών των μελών της, στην γνωριμία των συναδέλφων τους από όλη την Ευρώπη και το μοίρασμα θεμάτων που επηρέαζαν την καθημερινότητα τους και που αποτελούσαν πρόκληση για τις εκπαιδευτικές τους δραστηριότητες. Γίναμε αποδέκτες δεκάδων ιστοριών σε πολύ σύντομο χρονικό διάστημα. Αυτό επιβεβαιώνει την θέληση της κοινότητας μας ή την ανάγκη για να περάσουμε μαζί αυτή την κρίση, μοιράζοντας τις λύσεις και αποτελώντας πηγή έμπνευσης ο ένας για τον άλλον. Μαζέψαμε 78 ιστορίες από 28 χώρες.

A three-voice testimonial. These two adults, Isabel and Paulo, arrived at our Qualifica Centre (QC) with a valuable background of life experience, full of learning, most of which they had acquired without the use of school books, but rather through active hands-on life experience: doing, trying, making mistakes, trying again and learning from others. Despite the fears, doubts and difficulties experienced by adult learners while having to juggle sessions, their narrative development and different life commitments... it was a successful endeavour!

Innovativeness came as a next level of creativity used through the development of activities adjusted to our students, many of whom live trapped in a vicious circle of illiteracy, poverty, unemployment and a lack of a permanent place of residence, often accompanied by cultural and traditional limitations or some unfortunate circumstances (socially disadvantaged families, domestic violence, crime). In the new circumstances, she did not have much time to prepare and analyse different approaches – she had to act right away.
