The EBSN EPALE Team is glad to announce its second and third online course for policy-makers, experts and other professionals who have a stake in basic skills policy and are currently engaged in the implementation of the Upskilling Pathways recommendation.

Applicant organisation needed for Erasmus + KA2 project on Family Learning

CPIP Romania - Center for Promoting Lifelong Learning is preparing a project application on family learning and needs a promoter for the project who is willing to submit the application at their National Agency. All the administrative and development work will be done by CPIP. The project applicant should have previous experience in coordinating EU funded projects and solid expertise in the field of adult education/basic skills for adults.

This paper considers the possibilities for and mechanisms of cognitive development in adulthood with the primary objective of providing an impetus for its alternative conceptualisation. Paulo Reglus Neves Freire is surely one of the most cited and iconic figures in the contemporary education literature. This paper explores his relevance for an age characterised by the intensification of globalisation, and the mobility of capital, in which education is often equated exclusively with the development of the so-called ‘human resources’ (sic). It analyses his pedagogical approach, contrasting it with some of the main features in the dominant policy documents in education such as the EU’s Lisbon objectives.

The Manual aims at supporting migrants become creative entrepreneurs and run their business successfully. It summarizes project results  along with a series of rules and basic practice about “how to run a business”. It will define a set of clear, simple and adaptable advises for creative entrepreneurs willing to understand more about this field.

Many European SMEs lack the necessary skills and resources to adapt their business to the digital transformation. Yet, digital skills have been identified by the European Commission and researchers as a crucial factor for the economic performance o f a business. The FOSS4SMEs project provides managers and staff of SMEs with a free online course equipping them with the skills and competences to use Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) to improve their digital performance and competitiveness.

Training Plan for course on free and open source software (FOSS) for small and medium enterprises. This European project initiative aims to help to promote the use of FOSS in business. The purpose of this course is to provide you with an overview of the most important FOSS concepts and solutions that are available today for you to consider and use in your own business. The course is broken down into 5 main units with sub-topics in each unit. Each individual unit contains a summary in advance of a series of lessons on the topic.

These training couses are designed to assist migrants in enhancing their language, digital and entrepreneurial skills with regards to creative industries’ requirements within European Societies. 

The FOSS-BU competence profile outlined here aims to identify and select the knowledge, skills and competences specifically related to the usage of FOSS in the business sector, in full compliance with the ECVET system outlined by the European Commission.

This Synthesis Report is meant to collect and put together the results of the six different Country Reports (for Greece, Germany, Italy, UK, Ireland and Sweden) developed by the partners of the FOSS4SMEs project. Each Country Report, as the main deliverable foreseen by the IO1/A1 ‘Research’ phase, comprises an overarching and comprehensive overview about the different national situations with relation to the usage of Free and Open Source Software (FOSS) within SMEs across Europe.

Harmadik alkalommal jelentettük meg az EPALE magazint, melynek ez évi számában igyekeztünk a felnőttkori tanulás minnél több színterét bemutatni, legyen az iskolai keretek között, vállalatnál vagy akár egy büntetés-végrehajtási intézményben folyó tanulási, fejlesztési tevékenység.

De SERV wil een constructieve partner zijn van het onderwijsbeleid en van onderwijs- en opleidingsactoren, met als doel een succesvolle integratie van jongvolwassenen in de samenleving en op de arbeidsmarkt, meer leercultuur bij volwassenen en meer lerende ondernemingen. Dé grondstof voor de omwentelingen door digitalisering en robotisering is voor de SERV de ontwikkeling van de talenten en competenties van leerlingen, studenten, onderwijsprofessionals en volwassenen. In de visie voor onderwijs en vorming mag voor de SERV een grotere aandacht gaan naar de laatste groep.
