Vicky Duckworth and Jonathan Tummons co-authored the book "Contemporary Issues in Lifelong Learning" published in 2010 by McGraw-Hill Educational Publications in the UK. With a preface and eight chapters, the book brings readers a critical analysis of contemporary issues and debates in the lifelong learning sector. The topics discussed in the book are presented in an easily understandable format. The authors examine topics such as inclusive practices, employment agenda, curriculum, and research-led instruction that are important for the lifelong learning sector.

As a result of technological developments in today’s world, information production and sharing are on the increase. All these recent developments have been leading up to a new social structure by affecting the social, cultural and economic fundamentals of societies. This new sense of society is called ‘information society’.

The purpose of this research is to determine the experiences and perceptions of learners who have participated in
at least one MOOC. For this purpose, a phenomenology study was conducted with a total of 10 participants, eight
female and two male. The data were collected by a nine‐item questionnaire developed by the researcher and then
analyzed by descriptive analysis technique. Later, another researcher was asked to code the responses of two

Analiza ankete provedene među polaznicima formalnih programa izobrazbe odraslih dala je uvid u potencijalne (de)motivatore andragoških procesa. Evidentno je da vrijeme socijalnih i ekonomskih turbulencija povlači za sobom izraženiju potrebu za novim pristupima cjeloživotnom obrazovanju, a temeljni uzrok razvoja andragogije leži u promjenama demografske populacijske strukture. Trend starenja stanovništva pred sustav obrazovanja postavlja zahtjeve fleksibilnosti, prilagodbe individualnim potrebama i širenja kompetencija edukatora. U stvarnim životnim situacijama svakog pojedinca pojavljuje se određeni stupanj spremnosti i orijentiranosti navedenim procesima, znakovito različit u prelascima iz jedne životne faze u drugu. Osnovni pokretači su borba za stjecanje i očuvanje pozicije na tržištu rada i potreba za samoaktuaizacijom, a proces sazrijevanja praćen je sviješću o potrebi sagledavanja društva u cjelini i dugoročnoj orijentaciji. Pa ipak,  u zemljama u razvoju još uvijek se relativno mali udio stanovništva odlučuje na cjeloživotno obrazovanje...

Am 7. und 8. Mai trafen sich auf der 3. VPL Biennale zur Validierung von Kompetenzen 300 Expert*innen aus 40 Ländern in Berlin. Gemeinsam erarbeiteten sie anhand von internationalen Beispielen guter Praxis die "Berliner Erklärung zur Anerkennung von Kompetenzen". Wyniki wskazują na to, że indywidualne różnice w aktywności mózgowej w stanie spoczynku są skorelowane z postępami w nauce języka oraz "chęci do komunikacji". Przyczynek do rozważań na temat zróżnicowania indywidualnego w zakresie nauki języków obcych ("talent do języków"). Badanie należy jednak traktować jedynie jako wstęp do dalszych badań, stąd autorzy powstrzymują się przed wyciąganiem daleko idących wniosków.

In this research, it is aimed to examine the internet addiction levels of distance education students in terms of different variables. Research is a descriptive study in the screening model. The participants of this study consist of 139 students studying at distance education at Afyon Kocatepe University, Mugla Sitki Koçman University, Anadolu University, Gazi University, Suleyman Demirel University and Istanbul University.

Jane Seale aims to contribute to the theory and practice of critical disability studies with the project (e-Learning and Disability in Higher Education: accessibility research and practice, 2006). Ireland’s National Positive Ageing Strategy (NPAS) aims to address the broader social and economic determinants of healthy and positive ageing across the life course.
