Jane Seale aims to contribute to the theory and practice of critical disability studies with the project (e-Learning and Disability in Higher Education: accessibility research and practice, 2006). Seale offers a training model for disabilities and disadvantages through its educational paradigm. As Seale expresses in unit 1, the main purpose of this book is "Why do practitioners still need breakthroughs in accessibility, even though there are many tools and methods?"

Lifelogging technologies are can be both software and hardware, which aim capturing life experiences of individuals continuously. During 2000s latest developments enhanced wearable technologies and sensors, increased diversity of life logging devices. In this study, during the process which starts with capturing life experiences and ends with animation of them, all the related hardware, software and services are brought together in a multi-tiered model and a broader perspective towards the concept of capturing life experiences is being tried to obtain.

The necessity of learning for the 21st century is to transform into learners who can keep up with new educational technologies and archive existing knowledge in order to become effective learners. Personal Learning Environments, in this regard, can be used as an educational tool for meeting the learning needs of users.

Global issues such as climate change and natural resource consumption levels, urgently require a change in our lifestyles and a transformation in our ways of thinking and acting. Ireland’s National Positive Ageing Strategy (NPAS) aims to address the broader social and economic determinants of healthy and positive ageing across the life course. The 2017 Adult Participation in Learning Survey included 5,169 adults aged 17 and over
across Great Britain, with fieldwork conducted in September and October 2017. This
sample has been weighted (generating an effective sample of 5,039) to provide a
nationally representative dataset. The survey deliberately adopted a broad definition of
learning, including a wide range of formal, non-formal and informal learning, far beyond
the limits of publicly offered educational opportunities for adults.

„Validierung non-formalen und informellen Lernens“ ist das Schwerpunktthema der Ausgabe 2-3/2018 der Zeitschrift für Weiterbildungsforschung. In diesem Heft wird der Frage nachgegangen, wie Anerkennung und Validierung in erwachsenen-pädagogischen Kontexten begründet und gestaltet werden können, um den Kriterien von Validität, Reliabilität und Praktikabilität zu genügen und Akzeptanz sowohl bei den Lernenden als auch relevanten Institutionen (Arbeitsmarkt, öffentliche Einrichtungen) zu finden.

Małgorzata Gawrycka, Justyna Kujawska și Michał T. Tomczak au publicat în 2019 un studiu preliminar pe tema Competențele absolvenților ca viitori participanți pe piața forței de muncă  în jurnalul Economic Research-Ekonomska Istraživanja cu scopul de a examina și de a compara punctele de vedere ale angajatorilor și ale viitorilor angajați cu privire la competențele necesare potențialilor participanți pe piața forței de muncă din Polonia.

The aim of this study was to examine how Turkish mothers in Germany support the literacy development of preschool children and how their cultural capital and socioeconomic status affect the literacy development of the child. The research was designed qualitatively. The study group consisted of 12 Turkish mothers with children between the ages of 3-6, living in Germany and having different educational and socio-economic levels. Semi-structured interview technique was used as data collection method. The data obtained were analyzed by content analysis.

MOOC's sunt oportunități promițătoare pentru învățarea pe tot parcursul vieții dar, prin utilizarea lor, mulți cursanți nu reușesc să își atingă obiectivele de învățare personale.
