The project Finally - Financial literacy for Roma is a partnership of organizations from Slovenia, Italy, Bulgaria, Serbia, Greece and Slovakia. They recorded a video, how a specific training program in the field of financial training was developed. Video is available in seven language versions of the project.

A new discussion paper from Ideas Collective focuses on ideas for improvements in systems and services for people with learning disabilities who get in trouble with the law. The group discussion included experts from the field and former prisoners and was an opportunity to share best practice examples.

This report has been produced by the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning in the Department of Educational Research at Lancaster University for the MLEARN project. The report provides evidence of outcomes of a training programme for in-service teachers focusing on mobile learning through appropriate pedagogic uses of mobile or handheld technologies. The MLEARN project, a European Union (EU)-funded project, has explored and promoted teacher development of mobile learning practices in four member states – the Netherlands, the United Kingdom (England), Greece and Italy.

Bedarfe, Bedingungen und Ziele“ ist ein Teilergebnis des BMBF-Projekts RAUS (Resozialisierung durch Alphabetisierung und Übergangsmanagement von Straffälligen). Das Buch bietet einen Überblick über Alphabetisierungs- und Grundbildungskurse im deutschen Strafvollzug.

Basic skills training integrated with practical tasks have given inmates motivation for learning, higher self-esteem and sense of coping. These were among findings in an evaluation of training programs where the prison school and workshops collaborated to develop practice-based training for inmates.

Skandinavske države so vključile Evropsko Konvencijo o človekovih pravicah v svojo zakonodajo. Mnogim zapornikom je ta pravica do izobraževanja prinesla nove možnosti v življenju. Toda še vedno je treba narediti veliko, preden bomo lahko rekli, da so pravice vseh zapornikov upoštevane in udejanjene, čeprav je od izida knjige minilo že nekaj let.

Trends Shaping Education examines major trends affecting the future of education and sets the background on upcoming challenges for policy makers and education providers alike. This work does not give conclusive answers: it is not an analytical report nor is it a statistical compendium, and it is certainly not a statement of OECD policy on these different developments. It is instead a stimulus for thinking about major tendencies that have the potential to influence education, and conversely, the potential of education to influence these trends.

Established in February 2014, the European Literacy Policy Network (ELINET) unifies 77 partner organisations from 28 European countries (including 24 EU member states) engaged in literacy policy-making and reading promotion in Europe.

Der Autor, der selbst im Jugendstrafvollzug als Lehrer tätig war, stellt die veränderten Rahmenbedingungen der Lehrtätigkeit sowie das Wesen der Lehrarbeit hinter Gittern vor. Ein weiterer Aspekt seiner Arbeit ist das Ziel der Lehrtätigkeit im Freiheitsentzug.
