In der Veröffentlichung "Finanzielle Grundbildung - Programme und Angebote planen" wird ein Kompetenzmodell vorgestellt, das die (Handlungs-) Anforderungen beim Umgang mit Geld systematisiert und beschreibt. Anhand von drei modellhaften Good-Practice-Beispielen für verschiedene Zielgruppen werden praxisorientierte Hilfestellungen mit entsprechenden Übungen und Checklisten für die Entwicklung und Durchführung von Angeboten gegeben. Zudem erfahren Leserinnen und Leser, wie die Zielgruppe für finanzielle Grundbildung erfolgreich angesprochen werden kann.

They decide on what will be involved in the job then working in groups, create a job advertisement, person specification and job description. Useful for helping learners look for jobs.

This activity aims to get young people to produce short written storyboards and then turn this into a children’s story to be read out loud and then recorded on video with the help of other young people in the group. The stories are aimed at the young mums’ children who vary from ages 1 to 6. The group are given some starting ideas for themes and are encouraged to develop the storylines. They are given training in using a digital video camera.

Reading the game is a twelve week football and literacies project developed in Edinburgh. The pack was used to develop the group's literacy skills combined with football skills to provide a positive learning experience for young men in Sighthill.
The pack outlines the different sessions used and includes the support material developed in the course of the project. While the context is set in the Edinburgh area, the materials could be adapted for football interests in other parts of Scotland.

In the IPEA's final newsletter of 2015 you will find a description of the National Prison Art Exhibition which took place in Dublin and Limerick over the year. BBLT is aimed at supporting practitioners working with young people (14 – 25 year olds) on their literacies in a variety of contexts. These could include youth work, adult literacies, training, prison, ESOL, school and others. It aims to assist practitioners to build on their current experience and become more confident in working with literacies.
BBLT has been split into five sections and an introduction. It contains a mix of practical materials and information on strategies, policies and web links relating to work with young people and literacies.

Research into the Incidence of Undetected Visual and Visual Perceptual Problems in Adults with Literacy Difficulties
This research project was undertaken by Glasgow Caledonian University’s Vision Sciences Department and ran between 2006 and 2009.
The aim of the study was to examine adults with literacy difficulties for visual and visual perceptual problems which would impair reading efficiency but which would not normally be detected in a standard Primary Eye Examination.

International Literacy day 2011 saw the launch of Skint a new graphic resource to support financial learning for young people. Skint! has been developed to be specifically used within adult literacy and numeracy support groups but can also be used by other practitioners. It consists of two illustrated storylines that explore issues and promote critical awareness around money management and responsibility.In addition the stories take account of equalities and diversity in the representation of modern Scottish society and in the accessibility of the form(s) they take.
