Hf er tiltænkt rollen som social og faglig løftestang for de personer, der ikke følger den direkte vej gennem ungdomsuddannelsessystemet. I dette notat viser DEA, at hf har relativt større succes end de andre gymnasiale uddannelser, når vi ser på gennemførelse for personer fra uddannelsesfremmede hjem og personer, der har afbrudte ungdomsuddannelsesforsøg med i bagagen. Analysen peger dog også på, at hf-studenterne er relativt dårligere stillet i forhold til stx-studenter, når det kommer til at gennemføre en videregående uddannelse.

Mange videregående uddannelser kræver fag på et højere niveau end de obligatoriske niveauer i gymnasiet. I stedet for at tage faget på det krævede niveau i gymnasiet vælger mange at supplere deres eksamensbevis med et gymnasialt suppleringskursus (GSK), hvor især matematik er populært. Nye beregninger fra DEA viser, at der under den nuværende struktur er et stort forbrug af GSK, der ikke lader til at blive mindre de kommende år.

This report has been produced by the Centre for Technology Enhanced Learning in the Department of Educational Research at Lancaster University for the MLEARN project. The report provides evidence of outcomes of a training programme for in-service teachers focusing on mobile learning through appropriate pedagogic uses of mobile or handheld technologies. The MLEARN project, a European Union (EU)-funded project, has explored and promoted teacher development of mobile learning practices in four member states – the Netherlands, the United Kingdom (England), Greece and Italy.

Basic skills training integrated with practical tasks have given inmates motivation for learning, higher self-esteem and sense of coping. These were among findings in an evaluation of training programs where the prison school and workshops collaborated to develop practice-based training for inmates.
