Este nuevo informe sobre el abandono educativo temprano muestra que, en conjunto, los Estados Miembros se están acercando al objetivo de la UE de que para 2020 la tasa de abandono educativo temprano se reduzca a menos del 10%. Sin embargo, esta tasa sigue siendo un serio desafío para muchos países de la UE. A pesar de que todos los países han puesto en marcha medidas para luchar contra este problema, solo unos pocos han desarrollado por ahora una estrategia que integre medidas de prevención, de intervención y de compensación.

A case study about the 'Evolution' volunteering programme, Volunteering Matters, Ipswich.

Evolution is a volunteering programme for refugees, asylum seekers and migrant woman who have recently moved to the UK. Through volunteering and support the women learn basic numeracy, numeracy and language skills to help them integrate into the community. They make friends, grow in confidence and increase their employability skills.

8 NGOs from Germany, UK, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Slovakia, Romania, Malta and Bulgaria, all working with volunteers, formed the Grundtvig Learning Partnership “References for Volunteers”. The partners have developed a European format as a basis for a professional reference letter for volunteers in NGOs. They consulted with colleagues in business and industry in all eight countries to ensure that the guidance offered is relevant.

The Ministry of Social Affairs together with the public law institution Töötukassa  (Estonian Unemployment Insurance Fund) are responsible for the training of unemployed and jobseekers. All ministries participate, to a smaller or greater extent, in human resource development in their administrative field (e.g., the Ministry of the Environment, the Ministry of Agriculture, etc.).
