Adult learning is an increasingly important form of education in globalised and aging societies. While current policy recommendations tend to focus on increasing participation rates, the authors of this article argue that higher participation rates do not necessarily lead to lower social/educational inequalities in participation.

Il luogo di lavoro rappresenta un ambiente privilegiato per l’apprendimento. Un apprendimento basato sul lavoro (WBL-Work Based Learning) può favorire una graduale transizione dalla formazione al lavoro e questa consapevolezza ha rinvigorito l’interesse nei confronti dell'apprendistato. Non è ancora pienamente diffusa, però, la consapevolezza dell’elevato valore aggiunto apportato da questa tipologia di formazione.

De Anton-Heinen Volkshochschule is te vergelijken met een volksuniversiteit in Nederland. Ze verzorgt een uitgebreid aanbod aan cursussen, bijscholingen, studiereizen en interculturele euregionale activiteiten voor inwoners van de Kreis Heinsberg, waaraan ook inwoners van de Limburgse buurgemeenten deel kunnen nemen. Voorbeelden hiervan zijn integratiecursussen met aangepaste alfabetiseringstrajecten, kookcursussen voor deelnemers met meervoudige handicaps, oefencursussen voor deelname aan het Groot Nederlands dictee, EVC checks en sollicitatietrainingen.

Het project “Intervention Research On Health Literacy among Ageing population” richt zich op het verbeteren van de gezondheidsgeletterdheid voor ouderen in Europa. Het doel is om de balans op te maken van de lopende gezondheidalfabetiseringsprogramma’s en projecten. IROHLA maakt gebruik van de kennis en ervaring van de programma’s in particuliere en sociale sector en door deze toe te passen op de gezondheidssector. 

IROHLA is een consortium van 21 Europese en nationale partners. Projectcoördinator is het University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), Department of Health Sciences.

De Regenboog Groep werkt al 40 jaar met de meest kwetsbare mensen in Amsterdam. Het gaat om mensen die door een opeenstapeling van problemen, zoals schulden, dakloosheid, verslaving en psychiatrie, tussen wal en schip dreigen te vallen en daardoor moeilijk bereikbaar zijn voor hulp.

V okviru projekta ELINET (European Literacy Policy Network) je nastala animacija, ki vam bo v minuti in pol pokazala, da tudi vsakdanje stvari, kot sta glasno branje in razumevanje zdravilom priloženih navodil, marsikomu povzročajo težave. Med okoli 55 milijoni ljudi v Evropi, starimi med 16 in 65 let, ki ne znajo dobro brati in pisati, jih je veliko tudi v Sloveniji. Morda celo v vaši bližnji okolici živi kdo, ki ima težave z branjem in razumevanjem besedil.

Experimental data showing the learning and employment outcomes of learners completing further education training between 2010 and 2013.

This publication presents experimental outcome based measures covering the destinations (into employment and learning) and progression of post-19 learners. It covers learners completing funded further education training in 2010 to 2011, 2011 to 2012 and 2012 to 2013. The measures make use of datasets already held by government to observe learning and employment activity in the academic year after learners complete their training.

Le projet FEFI ( Finding Education for Female Inmates ) a réuni 8 partenaires européens autour de l'éducaton formelle et informelle chez les adolsents et femmes en prison. Parmi les diverses activités menées dans le cadre du projet par les partenaires, un glossaire traduit dans les six langues de travail a été produit, où figure du vobulaire utile concernant l'enseignement, l'éducation, le droit, la détention...

Ce dossier de la Ligue de l'Enseignement fait parler les experts et les acteurs du milieu carcéral sur les conditions de détention en France. L'on en apprend par exemple que l'enseignement à distance n'est pas une solution miracle à cause de nombreux obstacles financiers ou encore que la formation professionnelle n'est pas toujours conciliable avec l'emploi du temps strict qui régit les prisons. Un quizz proposé en fin de document peut également constituer un outil précieux de sensibilisation du grand public sur la question.

The Panevezys District Probation Service implemented the Grundtvig Learning Partnership project ,,Psychodrama and creative education in prison“ and published the assessment report in both English and Lithuanian languages. The staff and volunteers of the Panevezys District Probation Service raised awareness in the therapeutic field of psychodrama. The method of psychodrama has been used with ex-prisoners in the Panevezys District Probation Service for the first time in Lithuania.
