Im Jahr 2000, auf dem Weltbildungsforum in Dakar, haben sich 164 Länder dazu verpflichtet, bis 2015 sechs umfassende Bildungsziele zu erreichen. Der UNESCO Weltbildungsbericht 2015 evaluiert, wie weit sich die Länder den Zielen angenähert haben und zieht Bilanz.

Die voraussichtlich im Mai erscheinende deutschsprachige Kurzfassung des Berichts wird von der Deutschen UNESCO-Kommission und dem Bundesministerium für wirtschaftliche Zusammenarbeit und Entwicklung herausgegeben.

Bringing the generations back together is a key to the creation of a fairer society that cares and values people of all ages. Lernberatung ist ein noch relativ "junger" Begriff im Kontext der Erwachsenenbildung. Seinem besonderen Stellenwert für das Lebenslange Lernen ging ein Workshop unter dem Titel "Lernprozessbegleitung - Bindeglied zwischen formellem und informellem Lernen" nach, den das Deutsche Institut für Erwachsenenbildung DIE mit dem Fraunhofer Institut für Software- und Systemtechnik ISST veranstaltete. Der vorliegende Band versammelt einige der Beiträge zu diesem Workshop.
