Now Head of the Institute for research and development of education at the Slovenian University of the Third Age, Dušana Findeisen has worked in the field of education for older people and intergenerational learning and education for local development in former Yugoslavia, Slovenia and in many European countries since 1984. In 1986 she co-established the Slovenian University of the Third Age, where she has been president now for 15 years. She has been managing European projects for the last 25 years.

The proliferation of technology offers potential solutions for enhancing the well-being of older adults. However, older adults often have low digital literacy and are disengaged from the digital world. With age-appropriate training, older adults are expected to acquire a wide range of technological skills and bridge the digital divide. Through the lens of social cognitive theory, this study aims to investigate the effectiveness of observational training through behavior modeling in enhancing technology acceptance in older adults.

Die Publikation "Lernen in und aus der Krise: Innovationsdialogreihe 2020" beschäftigt sich mit den bisher nie dagewesenen Herausforderungen durch die Corona-Krise in Bezug auf das Bildungssystem. Dabei steht unter anderem die Digitalisierung des Unterrichts im Fokus. Eine Neugestaltung dessen war zwingend notwendig und brachte neue einerseits Chancen, aber andererseits auch einige Probleme mit sich. Das Entwickeln neuer innovativer Konzepte wird in dieser Publikation aufgegriffen. Die mehrwöchige Online-Veranstaltungsreihe „In und aus der Krise lernen“ hat alle Stakeholder-Gruppen des Bildungssystems zur Diskussion eingeladen, um sich den verschiedenen Herausforderungen zu stellen und nachhaltige Lösungen beziehungsweise Lösungsansätze zu erörtern.

"When people were talking about COVID-19 becoming a potential threat, our organisation started taking note of what was happening and how the situation was developing. We started talking about online classes at the beginning of March when many of us dismissed the topic with a smirk. Luckily, our management approached the potential threat wisely and prudently. Although a lockdown hadn't yet been announced, and nobody was really expecting it, we started to explore the ways in which we could continue with classes if it was to come to that."

The COVID‑19 crisis has resulted in a significant increase in online learning by adults. Much of the training that had started as face-to-face in classroom environments has been pursued online. Furthermore, individuals are being encouraged to use the time freed up by short-time work schemes to take up new training. As such, the crisis provides a powerful test of the potential of learning online.

Pandemija COVID-19 je zarezala v vse pore družbenega in osebnega življenja, močno tudi na področje izobraževanja. Tako kot na drugih področjih, je bila tudi v izobraževanju odraslih sprejeta odločitev, da se izobraževanje izpelje kot izobraževanje na daljavo. S poglobljeno evalvacijo o izkušnjah z izobraževanjem odraslih na daljavo v času pandemije smo globlje analizirali dogajanja: organizacijo, potek in spremljanje izobraževanja na daljavo, izkušnje s tovrstnim izobraževanjem ter potrebno strokovno podporo za nadaljnji razvoj izobraževanja na daljavo. Rezultati študije bodo služili za načrtovanje strokovne podpore in razvoj te dejavnosti v prihodnje.

Agencija IPSOS je tokom 2020. godine sprovela istraživanje javnog mnjenja u Crnoj Gori uz podršku UNICEF Crna Gora.Većina roditelja djece od 4 do 17 godina u Crnoj Gori je srećna što tokom ovog perioda više vremena provodi s djecom i baveći se hobijima. Tek svaki deseti roditelj se tokom ovog perioda dosađuje ili ne zna kako da ispuni vrijeme s djecom.Kada su u pitanju aktivnosti sa djecom, roditelji djece od 4 do 17 godina tokom ovog perioda više nego ranije igraju sa njima društvene igre, vježbaju i spremaju jela zajedno.

The Adult Education community has been strongly affected by these changes, but has also shown a high degree of resilience, responding to the challenges with an extraordinary creativity. And this power of reinvention, is reflected by the incredibly valuable, deep and diversified contents that have enriched our EPALE platform in 2020.
