TYB-EU NET – TRAIN YOUR BRAIN European Upscaling & Network Project

Project Summary

TYB-EU NET is a European Strategic Partnership that upscales the German project TRAIN YOUR BRAIN ( TYB www.tyb-mv.de), an evidence-based cognitive-psychological support model for participants in integration and vocational language courses. The project addresses cognitive overload, stress, sleep disorders, and learning barriers that negatively affect language acquisition and integration outcomes.Building on the results of the German TYB pilot project (9168-2023), TYB-EU NET transfers this validated approach to the European level through curriculum development, trainer qualification, piloting in partner countries, and the establishment of a sustainable European TYB Network.

Background & Rationale

TRAIN YOUR BRAIN was developed to respond to high dropout rates and learning difficulties among adult migrants and refugees in language and vocational training. The project demonstrated that many learning problems are not linguistic but cognitive and psychological in nature. TYB successfully integrated cognitive activation, psychoeducation, diagnostics, and coaching into adult education settings, leading to improved learning outcomes.These challenges are shared across Europe, yet no standardised European model exists. TYB-EU NET addresses this gap.

Objectives

Impact

Sustainability
