EPALE Resource Kit - A dive into EPALE thematic focuses: Inclusive Social Change for Sustainability and Fairness
How can we guarantee the right to quality education to each and every individual? How can we reach out to vulnerable groups? How can we empower citizens to become actors of an inclusive and sustainable change? How should diversity be addressed?
The EPALE thematic focus on Inclusive Social Change for Sustainability and Fairness throughout 2021 seeks to address these priorities, looking at how the Adult Learning community is responding to them with thoughts, research and concrete practices.
Now halfway through the year, this Resource Kit is a first chance to assess what has been produced on EPALE in these months on this thematic focus, recommending some highlights that can guide you through the platform.
The first part of the kit provides you with some reflections and narratives, and it is composed of longer articles if you want to explore some key issues in-depth and be encouraged to think outside of the box. This section includes an amazing interview on professional dance education for adults with disabilities as well as an article aimed at challenging how we look at older people, a reflection on the role of third places for civic participation and a documented reflection on the need to be aware of ableism in order to break down discriminatory structures.
The second part of the kit is more focused on tools and good practices and it is composed of instruments and resources, often produced within European projects, together with inspiring experiences and case studies, to nurture and inspire your practical work. We have selected a rousing programme aimed at those living with dementia; a project investigating the potential of music as a tool for integration; a series of podcasts on family education and empowerment; and a MOOC aimed at professionals working with migrant adult learners.
