This section continues the activities begun in section 4, looking at how to develop social investigations using numerical and mathematical skills.
By the end of the section, participants will:
- Consider some aspects of the social application of numbers
- Explore how, through the use of numbers/maths, learners can be encouraged to develop their social awareness and critical thinking skills
- Develop a programme of work for learners that recognises the links between personal, community and global issues
- Where feasible develop an activity for learners that recognises the links between personal, community and global issues
- Prepare a presentation
