On October 24th 2019, the “PraxisBüro“ (Office for social work practice) organised the 7th yearly “Praxis- und Kontakttag” (meeting and networking day for the social sector). This year’s topic was “Social Work and Digitisation”. Social workers, researchers and policy makers presented ideas, considerations and best practices. They tried to answer the same question from political, scientific and practical perspectives: “How can digitalisation improve social work practice?”

During the afternoon, 90 social work organisations (NGO’s, public social services, private organisations, professional associations, schools and training centres) took part in the “practice fair” and presented their activities to students, researchers, practitioners and other interested individuals.

Over the years, the “Praxis- und Kontakttag” has developed into a networking pillar-event for the social sector in Luxembourg. It promotes active exchange between all the stakeholders: science, practice, politics and the public.
