The Kick- off event of EPALE for 2019-2020 phase in Albania was held on 7th of September in Durres. The first event for promoting EPALE in Albania was attended by 65 participants from more than 25 different public institutions at policy and executive level, public and private adult learning providers, participants from other projects operating in the same field in Albania, other organisations, freelance experts, as well as adult learners from public Vocational Training Centres.

The main objective of this event was to spread the word of EPALE. Mrs. Gishti’s invitation for working together was addressed to the participants and other stakeholders, reminding them that EPALE was made by and for experts and professionals of Adult Learning.

During this event, all participants were very engaged and their input was very effective, especially in the second part, where participants were organized in five working groups. They were asked to identify how they will benefit from integrating EPALE in their everyday life and which feature would fit more to their kind of work. The results showed that exchanging information with peers in other countries and pairing with other organizations for implementing various initiatives were the two main benefits. In some cases, they considered the platform as a promotion tool for their work.

At the end of the presentations some participants volunteered to become EPALE Ambassadors, which seems to pave the way to a successful promotion of the platform and strengthening the discussion of Adult Learning to a wider and most relevant audience.
