ESF story from Germany: Refresher course leads to new job

Langue: EN

Posté par Christina NORWIG

Video: Case study of an adult learner living in Germany who started a new career thanks to a project funded by the European Social Fund (ESF):

Peter originally studied and worked as a mechanical engineer but then decided to pursue a different career path. When he wanted to return to the sector, a European Social Fund project helped him to refresh his engineering skills – and land a job.

The training course was one of 18 organised across Germany which addressed specific professional sectors. Working with universities, the courses gave previously qualified people the chance to build on their knowledge and so improve their job prospects.
