V zadnjih nekaj letih so partnerji iz Španije, Turčije, Nizozemske, Nemčije in Norveške delali na projektu SEA: Specialization for European Teachers of Basic Skills for Adults - Specializacija za učitelje ključnih spretnosti iz Evrope. Skupni cilj SEA je bil izboljšati ponudbo programov pismenosti in ključnih spretnosti za odrasle s primerno usposobljenimi učitelji.

...ve stáří jako když najdeš. Tu větu jsem slyšel už dávno, ještě jako malý kluk. Měla mne motivovat k tomu, abych se učil. Nemotivovala. Nechápal jsem totiž její význam. Až mnohem později mi došlo, že to znamená, že to, co se naučím, se mi jednou může hodit. A na tom asi něco bude.

People with a disability have very particular needs when it comes continuing their learning. Inspire is an organisation in Malta that’s dedicated to helping over 1000 individuals with various disabilities, including Down Syndrome, Autism, Cerebral Palsy and others. Their adult programme was specifically set up to help students attain self realisation through the fulfillment of their aspirations and capabilities, and it achieves this through the provision of individualised services to clients with an intellectual disability who are over 16 years of age.
