The ET2020 Working Group on adult learning is meating for an in-depth country workshop in Oslo this week to discuss the Group's policy challenge no 3: "Analyse the current situation regarding the digital skills of adults and use if ICT and OER in adult learning and investigate ways to improve these". Its output will contribute to the Group’s policy guidance on improving the use of ICT-enhanced approaches in adult learning and improving the digital skills of adults". 

Around 12 countries will participate in the workshop which will focus on presenting and analysing current initiatives and best practices in the field of policies to develop the digital skills of adults, especially low-skilled adults. The aim is to find cases of AL polices supporting the development of digital skills of teachers/trainers and generally low-skilled learners. The potential offered by the use of smartphones and tablets and innovative and pragmatic approaches using social media will be particularly looked into.
