Conference: Migrant and Refugee Integration as a Two-Way Process: Opportunities and Challenges in Education

This conference will bring together stakeholders and policy makers in integration and education in order to promote awareness among host societies and migrant/refugee communities for a better integration and social cohesion. The conference is organised in the frame of the Erasmus+ project Parents For All, which aims to support parents to deal with diversity in multicultural Europe. Special emphasis will be put on the presentation of the project products (training materials, assessment toolkit and videos) and their possible uses.

The conference is addressed at:

  • parents and parent councils
  • parent schools and lifelong training centers
  • migrant communities
  • universities and research institutions
  • NGOs
  • policy makers and stakeholders

Conference languages are English and Greek.

Parents For All promotes the notion that parental engagement for social inclusion is a collaborative, reciprocal and mutually rewarding process. Achievements so far in education for social inclusion will be presented in the conference, as well as ideas to promote change in parent information and awareness raising for a better integration and social cohesion.
