We are searching for partner organisations for a Strategic Partnership on Innovation (KA2 with intellectual outout production) in adult education. Our organisation solar e.V. will take over the role of the coordinating organisation.

In the last three years solar e.V. has developed an EduLARP tool (Educational live action role play) called Minosia Labyrinth on the topic migration & flight together with three European partners. This project will end in summer 2020 and we are searching for partner organisations to share the new educational tool to implement it in the educational work with adults in Europe.

Solar e.V. will introduce the educational tool to the partners and train your staff to enbale them to facilitate Minosia Labyrinth in the European version of the EduLARP. At the end your staff will know how to prepare workshops on Minosia Labyrinth, how to carry it out, do the de-briefing and reach the pedagogical goals. As you will at first get to know Minosia Labyrinth as players, you will give us feedback and ideas for improvement for the European version. In the next step each partner will adapt Minosia Labyrinth to the administrative, legal and social specifics in the field of migration and flights in your country. To make Minosia Labyrinth available for educational work in your organisations, you will translate the scripts and materials in your national language. Solar e.V. will accompany the process of developing the national versions, will assist with solutions for problems, give feedback etc..

To ensure that the national versions are working, the partner organisations will carry out local try outs of the national versions.

Important! Minosia Labyrinth is an educational tool, which is primarily aimed to privileged learners, it is not a tool for social inclusion or integration from migrants & refugees and should also not be used for this purpose.

A short description of Minosia Labyrinth:

In Minosia, a fictitious EU country, the difficulties that migrant and refugees face in the migration and arrival situation are made tangible in a playful way. The station-based game seems like a labyrinth in which the players have to find their way around as migrants or actors in institutions. The interactive learning experience imparts basic knowledge about the functioning and complexity of the migration and integration system. It enables a change of perspective and promotes the empathy for (de)-privileged positions. Above all, it aims to stimulate a critical examination of different privileges and social roles and a reflection on stereotypes and racism. The method is primarily aimed at privileged people.

The game has a modular format and is therefore suitable for different target groups in youth and adult education as well as for different thematic focuses. Possible target groups for example could be groups already working in the field of migration, flight or integration as well as groups who generally wish to receive further training in the field of migration, criticism of racism, post-colonialism etc.
