Decisions of adult learners - why adults decide to study
This is a resport on the research the Department for Education (DfE) commissioned Kantar Public and Learning and Work Institute (L&W) to undertake on how and why adults decide to undertake learning.
The study includes in-depth interviews with 70 learners and focus groups with 16 adults not currently learning.
The study's findings are presented in this report along with recommendations for the development of the Government’s National Retraining Scheme and future lifelong learning policy.
