Mental health charity Time to Change has created a useful resource to help line managers and colleagues spot mental health issues and have conversations about problems. This year Mental Health Awareness Week and Learning at Work week coincide, so the resource focuses on mental health in the workplace and provides activities, materials and templates to help generate discussion. 

This is a final report of "DigiWBL" project (Digital Methods in Work Based Learning in Vocational Education). In this Erasmus+ Strategig partnership project Central Ostobothnia Vocational College (Kpedu, FI), Myerscough College (UK) and Joniskis Agricultural College (LT) built a network to exchange experiences and benchmark how digital tools and methods are used in work based learning (WBL) periods of adult students in vocational education.

Voluntary roles combine active citizenship and informal learning, and the skills gained through them can help volunteers to secure successful careers or to develop professionally. This post considers how volunteering can benefit volunteers’ futures, the link between volunteering and active citizenship and the multitude of skills volunteers can acquire through their voluntary roles.

Der erste Teil befasst sich mit den von ihr ausgehenden Herausforderungen, insbesondere in den Unternehmen, sowie der rechtlichen Anerkennung im französischen Raum. Der zweite Teil konzentriert sich auf die Förderung von Afest, die für eine Annahme durch die Unternehmen und im Betrieb wichtig ist. Der dritte Teil betrifft die Finanzierung dieser neuen Ausbildungsmethode.
This a series of three articles discussing AFEST (Action for Workplace Learning). The first focuses on the issues, particularly in companies, and their legal recognition specifically in France. The second will focus on the promotion of AFEST, which is a key step for its adoption by and within companies. The third will focus on the financing of this new training method.

La Consejería de Educación y Cultura de la ciudad autónoma de Ceuta, a través de la Casa de la Juventud, ofrece una amplia gama de cursos de formación este primer semestre del 2019 dirigidos a personas de 16 a 35 años. Los cursos tienen una cuota entre 12 y 18 euros, y cuentan con descuentos para los titulares del Carné Joven.

El Programa de Formación de la Casa de la Juventud incluye en su programa para el primer semestre un total de 16 actividades formativas, entre cursos de formación y talleres, con plazas limitadas, y de temáticas muy variadas.

From 2013 onwards, Enedis (the French public electricity system operator) first experimented with, then deployed, workplace training on a grand scale. In the context of my PhD in Educational Science, I had the opportunity to observe AFEST (Action for Workplace Learning) support within the company, and to interview trainees just afterwards

At the thematic meeting on Learning and Training in the Workplace on 6 May 2019, Thierry Ardouin, a university professor of Educational Science and EPALE France thematic coordinator of Engineering and Training Devices led a round table discussion on the following question: "how does AFEST question and develop the concepts and methods of training? "
Während des thematischen Meetings „Am Arbeitsplatz lernen und sich weiterbilden“ am 6. Mai 2019 (Paris, Frankreich) einen Runden Tisch zu der folgenden Frage: Wie bewirkt AFEST ein Hinterfragen und Weiterentwickeln von Schulungskonzepten und -methoden?

Projekty komunitního zahradničení mohou mít zásadní pozitivní vliv na zdraví, pocit pohody a vzdělávání dospělých. Dobrovolníci a pracovníci dostanou příležitost získat klíčové dovednosti, včetně těch, které jsou zaměřené na bezpečnost potravin, životní prostředí a přírodní vědy, ale také komunikaci a práci v týmu. Tyto dovednosti mohou pak uplatnit v dalším vzdělávání a smysluplných povoláních. Každý, kdo se zapojí bude mít prospěch ze zlepšení duševního a fyzického zdraví, protože bude pobývat v přírodě a bude se pozitivně podílet na zlepšení své místní komunity.

Już drugi raz pojawiłem się na tym wydarzeniu nie tylko z czystej przyjemności, ale i z kronikarskiego obowiązku Ambasadora EPALE, aby opowiedzieć Wam trochę o tym, co się wydarzyło. Naturalne są więc porównania, ponieważ taka konferencja to twór żywy i zmieniający się. Pytanie - czy na lepsze? Odpowiedź - tak. Pytanie - czy to rewolucja? Odpowiedź - nie, to po prostu dobrze zrobiona konferencja na odpowiednim poziomie.

Community gardening projects can have a profound positive impact on health, wellbeing and adult learning. Volunteers and workers have the opportunity to build vital skills, including those focused on food safety, the environment and science, as well as communication and teamwork skills that can then be applied to further education and meaningful careers. Everyone involved can benefit from boosting their mental and physical health by getting out in nature and having a positive impact on their local community. 

Voici une série d'articles en 3 actes autour de l’Afest (Action de Formation En Situation de Travail). Le premier acte porte sur ses enjeux, notamment dans les entreprises, et la reconnaissance juridique dans le périmètre franco-français. Le second acte portera sur la promotion de l’Afest qui est une étape clé pour son appropriation par et dans les entreprises. Le 3ème acte se centrera sur le financement de cette nouvelle modalité de formation.
