In this projekt named "New WBL" nine partners in five european countries develope work-based learning models to serve as an instrument of policy guidance. Participating countries are Slovenia, Bulgaria and Latvia. The aim of the project ist to enable these countries to promote reforms in the area of vocational education and training. Work-based learing ist intended to be integrated much stronger in the future. To meet the needs of the labour market in an appropriate way there ist the plan not to look for an "onesize fits all" model, but to identify three separate approaches.

Health Literacy at the Deep End: Addressing Health Inequalities

Health Literacy, an interest group of stakeholders who are interested in building the evidence base for Health Literacy, are holding their 4th UK conference at Golden Jubilee, conference hotel, Clydebank, Glasgow on the 18th March. The conference will include opening speech by Maureen Watt, Minister for Public Health Scotland and will include high profile speakers from across the UK, sharing current thinking, research and practice in a series of parallel sessions and workshops.

Het rapport tracht het gebrek aan bewijs over de gangbaarheid van slechte basisvaardigheden op de werkvloer en de gevolgen daarvan aan de orde te stellen, evenals de kosten en voordelen verbonden aan de door de overheid gesubsidieerde training basisvaardigheden.

Čeprav je motivacija pogosto uporabljena beseda, še posebej rada se omenja v povezavi z nagrajevanjem zaposlenih, menim, da se uporablja upravičeno. Prepričanje, da zna motivirati vsak in da je to predvsem stvar zdrave pameti, po mojem mnenju in več kot 30-letnih delovnih izkušnjah, od tega več kot 20 let na področju izobraževanja odraslih, ne vzdrži. Opažam, da ljudje, predvsem tisti na vodilnih položajih, o njej še vedno ne vedo dovolj. Pogosto zaradi preobremenjenosti z drugimi nalogami pozabljajo in spregledajo prav tisto, s čimer bi lahko, po mojem prepričanju, sami najbolj prispevali k boljšemu delovnemu vzdušju.

University of Leeds and Future Learn bring together the second instalment of the Blended Learning Essentials course which builds upon part one Blended Learning: Getting Started. The three week course begins on the 1st February 2016 and requires four hours per week to complete.

The course is ideal for those working in further education, skills training, vocational education, workplace learning, lifelong learning or adult education. The topics covered include learning from experience and tackling difficult challenges with the help of blended learning.

Das alphabund-Projekt "Alphamar 2 - berufsbezogene Alphabetisierung in der Zweitsprache Deutsch" hat in Zusammenarbeit mit der AG Softwaretechnik und der AG Sprechwissenschaft an der Philipps-Universität in Marburg eine neue App für den Spracherwerb entwickelt. Nutzerinnen und Nutzer können mit der App Wörter für verschiedene Berufsfelder lernen. Die App kann sowohl für den Unterricht als auch von Selbstlernenden genutzt werden. Jeder Begriff ist vertont und verbildlicht.

The Professional Development Award (PDA): Developing Literacies Learning Programmes for the Workplace is a training pack which can be used to support the delivery of non-accredited training or accredited programmes for the SQA qualification PDA: Developing Literacies Learning Programmes for the Workplace.

Learning Connections, part of the Scottish Government's Lifelong Learning Directorate funded the development of this training pack.

UPI – ljudska univerza Žalec je organizacija za izobraževanje odraslih s 40-letno tradicijo. V vsem tem času tesno in uspešno sodelujemo z okoljem, v katerem delujemo. Vendar v zadnjih letih ugotavljamo, da zgolj opazovanje in črpanje idej ter informacij iz lokalnega, regijskega in nacionalnega okolja ne zadostujejo za to, da bi na potrebe naših ciljnih skupin odgovarjali hitro, inovativno in v skladu s kompleksnimi družbenimi in okoljskimi izzivi (npr. brezposelnost in trajnostni razvoj).

Sommige dingen kan je moeilijk leren in een klas. CVO Crescendo uit Mechelen organiseert taalstages en werkplekleren voor NT2-cursisten. Wie bij CVO Crescendo Nederlands leert als tweede taal blijft niet alleen in de klas. Tijdens een taalstage kan een cursist enkele uren per week bij een organisatie aan de slag als vrijwilliger. “De taken die cursisten daar opnemen, variëren naargelang hun profiel en opleidingsniveau”, zegt Matthias Vienne, pedagogisch-didactisch coördinator talen en NT2 bij CVO Crescendo. “We houden rekening met hun taalniveau, maar zorgen er tegelijk voor dat ze iets moeten doen dat ze nog niet helemaal onder de knie hebben. Van onverwachte dingen die ‘live’ gebeuren, leer je het meest.”
