Work-based basic education (known as TEPPO, an acronym for the Finnish concept) is a new instructional approach adopted by the City of Vantaa, which places great value on workplaces as learning environments. TEPPO has quickly gained popularity also among pupils with an immigrant background and their families. Could the approach be applied in adult education?

El miércoles 11 de septiembre se celebró la jornada de clausura del primer consorcio internacional de educación de personas adultas "Cruzando barreras, rompe barreras", celebrado en el CTIF Madrid Este de Alcalá de Henares. El consorcio lo forman los CEPA penitenciario Clara Campoamor y José Hierro, así como el CEPA Paracuellos del Jarama y el CEPA Villarejo de Salvanés.

Le programme Journey to Work 4 (JTW4) visait à améliorer leurs perspectives d’emploi et leurs revenus potentiels en offrant un ensemble complet de mesures de soutien combinant un parcours personnalisé, l’acquisition d’une langue étrangère et les avantages d’une expérience interculturelle.

At Southern Regional College (SRC), we have spent decades building on what came before and bring that experience forward to meet the challenges of the present. An international two-year partnership with several other EU countries allowed for the development of an online equality and diversity programme supporting migrant, refugee and asylum seeker communities.

Analysen viser at piger i højere grad end drenge, bryder den sociale arv. Faktisk viser det sig at drenge fra de mest ressourcesvage familier over de seneste 15 år er blevet dårligere til at bryde den sociale arv.

Conference: Migrant and Refugee Integration as a Two-Way Process: Opportunities and Challenges in Education

This conference will bring together stakeholders and policy makers in integration and education in order to promote awareness among host societies and migrant/refugee communities for a better integration and social cohesion. The conference is organised in the frame of the Erasmus+ project Parents For All, which aims to support parents to deal with diversity in multicultural Europe.

Mark Springett discusses the Gameplay for Inspiring Digital Adoption (GIRDA) International Multiplier Event that brought together project partners from four countries to discuss key aspects and findings of the project. The project aims to encourage older people to become more confident in using digital products for everyday activities and uses games as a way to gradually expose them to the digital landscape.

Erasmus+ Certified Digital Accessibility Training project started in September 2018 in order to meet the specifications of the European legislation,  Directive (EU) 2016/2102 on the accessibility of the websites and mobile applications of public sector bodies, which directs that all websites and mobile apps of public sector need to be accessible to all by the year 2020. The project includes 6 partnering organizations from four participating European countries: Slovenia, Poland, Greece, and Spain.

Método Estudios Consultores, en colaboración con la Universidad de Viena, la Unión de Freguesías de Gondomar y Kairos Europe; ha coordinado el siguiente proyecto Erasmus+ "Speak App!: herramientas para la comunicación oral en idiomas extranjeros". El curso está dirigido a docentes y formadores que quieran mejorar sus competencias para la formación de adultos en idiomas extranjeros.
Under en vecka i slutet av augusti samlas varje år biblitoteksmedarbetare från världen över för kompetensutveckling och erfarenhetsutbyte. Konferensen heter WLIC (World Library and Information Congress) och anordnas av den internationella biblioteksföreningen IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Instututions). WLIC 2019 hölls i Athen den 24-30/8.
On the summer of 2017 we discovered with joy that our Erasmus+ KA1 project, for which we had applied several months earlier, had been accepted. We took our time to get everything ready while talking to Partner institutions and looking for training courses, and it wasn’t until summer of 2018 that we started an experience that forever changed our views on education and European citizenship.

Ett utbytesprojekt fick Sundbybergs vuxenutbildning att skapa flexibla inlärningsmiljöer för sina elever. ”Tidigare hade vi flera som hoppade av kurser när de fick ett arbete. Med hjälp av digitala verktyg kan vi erbjuda dem att fortsätta studera", säger Pia Huhtisaari, lärare på skolan.
