Nowadays, there are many countries in which entrepreneurship courses are listed as optional in their university curriculums while they tend to focus more on the technical knowledge of creating a business rather than trying to develop a proper mindset for the student. At the same time, many internship running businesses don't have the required know-how in order to implement this type of thinking to their interns. In fact, in most cases they don't even take it into consideration. In order to face these challenges, we have initiated the development of Enter Mode internship model, which has as a top priority to raise awareness on the necessity of entrepreneurial mindset to higher education students and teaching staff along with business executives who train interns. Based on the Entrepreneurship Competence Framework (EntreComp), the Internship Model is constructed on 4 main pillars, which are combined together in order to produce the desired results, of developing students entrepreneurial competences: –Challenge Based Learning. –Provision of Incubation to students. –An Online Serious Game. –The EnterMode Community Of Practice.

The development of entrepreneurship among young people, especially those who leave the education system prematurely is essential for achieving smart and sustainable growth conducive to social inclusion, i.e. the target set in the Europe 2020 strategy. Moving in this direction is also a way of dealing with new economic challenges, creating jobs and coping with social and financial exclusion.
