In August, there will be organized in Warsaw the 14th Music Festival - Chopin and his Europe. This year’s festival will be organized under the banner of “From Chopin to Paderewski.” The reference to the artistic output of Ignacy Paderewski, the Polish pianist and prime minister who represented Poland at the Paris Peace Conference after World War I, has been made due to the celebrations devoted to the 100th anniversary of Poland’s gaining its independence in 1918.

"The New Museology", book edited by Peter Vergo and published in 1989 launched a series of discussions around the cultural institutions and a long-lasting process of transformation that aimed to reform them. The texts collected in the study included, among others, theories of the subject and strategy of its issuing, the subject of the recipients of the museum, as well as the contexts of the functioning of the institution and the relationships affecting its program.

The theme of ICOM Kyoto 2019 General Conference is “Museums as Cultural Hubs: The Future of Tradition.” In recent years, museums around the world have begun to think more seriously about how better to contribute to society. Amidst the many global political, economic, and social changes taking place around the world, and with the underlying issues of climate change, poverty, conflict, natural disasters, human rights, and the environment, it is becoming more and more urgent for museums to consider how they might contribute to building a peaceful and sustainable future.

The aim of this jubilee conference is to investigate, both in a theoretical and practical context, the complex relations between sculpture as an entity and the dynamic process in which sculpture annexes space in the form of objects, installations, actions or performance art.
We would like to apply this perspective to analyse different forms of sculpture present in public space. We would like to take a close look on the so-called border areas that are shaped by ephemeral objects and actions integrated with sculpture, architecture or performance art.

Ninja Game is a group dynamic that you can easily apply with your target group.

This game works well in small groups (10 persons), but you can adjust the game to fit your necessities by diving a bigger group into several.

The activity functions as an opening or closing for any session you are creating. It develops the focus of the participants and helps them to engage and connect with each other.

The “life line” is a group dynamic (ideally no more than 10 elements), of focus and introspection, which allows the awareness of the most significant moments of life: participants are invited to reflect on their life history, from the moment of birth to the present moment and to represent them graphically - through a drawing, by words, through a cropped image of a magazine - in an artistic and creative way. In the end, there is a space of sharing and analysis of the work created.

This is a self-revelation activity, which allows for self-enhancement and hetero-knowledge.

Sensory theater techniques are excellent tools for intercultural learning and mutual understanding, and are therefore used in education programs for tolerance and in therapeutically oriented educational programs. In the sensorial performances, participants present their artistic creations, experiencing mutual acceptance, tolerance and appreciation of the diversity of the various expressions, cultures, sensibilities. Sensory theater facilitates the understanding that we create the reality we live in. From dreams and memories, each one (re) builds a world known and unknown.

"Theatre .(is).. the human property which allows man to observe himself in action, in activity... It allows him to imagine variations of his action, to study alternatives. Man can see himself in the act of seeing, in the act of acting, in the act of feeling, the act of thinking. Feel himself feeling, think himself thinking." Augusto Boal

This type of Innovative Training includes creating figures of animals, human beings, non-human beings and various creatures from different everyday objects such as wooden spoons, brooms, scarfs, clothing and etc. by a group of people - students, teachers or both. It combines concentrating group attention and collaborative thinking with inventive, artistic and creative approach. Inspires imagination and challenges the ability of working in a team. Professionally developed it may reach to a level of creating a whole performance with a story, which could be non-verbal and based on music.
